This is a remote position.
Our client is looking for a Bookkeeper to support multiple U.S.-based client accounts with full-cycle bookkeeping responsibilities. They operate within the accounting and financial services industry and have continued expanding their client portfolio and operational capabilities over the past few years through specialized bookkeeping and accounting support.
This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in Full Charge Bookkeeping who feels confident working directly with clients, handling reconciliations, maintaining accurate records, and managing bookkeeping processes from beginning to end. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and experienced using QuickBooks Desktop in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping activities for multiple U.S.-based client accounts.
- Perform accurate manual transaction entry into bank, check, and credit card registers.
- Maintain and reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements.
- Handle journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
- Review financial records to identify discrepancies, missing transactions, or bookkeeping errors.
- Support month-end bookkeeping and closing procedures.
- Work directly within QuickBooks Desktop for daily bookkeeping operations.
- Import transactions when client access and credentials are available.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records while ensuring completeness and compliance with U.S. accounting procedures.
- Journalize payroll transactions properly within QuickBooks.
- Communicate professionally with clients through email, Zoom meetings, and occasional phone calls.
- Organize and prioritize multiple client accounts efficiently.
- Assist with bookkeeping cleanup projects and correcting inaccurate books when necessary.
- Work independently while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of Full Charge Bookkeeping experience.
- Advanced proficiency using QuickBooks Desktop.
- Experience working with QuickBooks Online.
- Previous experience supporting U.S.-based businesses.
- Strong understanding of U.S. bookkeeping and accounting practices.
- Experience performing bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and payroll journal entries.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with clients.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently and managing deadlines.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM Eastern Time.
- Experience with QuickBooks class tracking is highly valued.
- Previous experience cleaning up disorganized or inaccurate books is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable working in a client-facing environment.
