Introduction to the Team

You'll be at the front line of Expedia Group's growth, driving hotel partner acquisition in a competitive market. Working from a pipeline of leads and opportunities, you'll manage deals from first contact through to close — building your commercial skills in a structured, high-energy sales environment.

In this role, you will:

Pipeline & Territory

  • Build and manage a pipeline of acquisition opportunities across large regional and/or tertiary markets

  • Execute a territory plan to consistently hit quarterly revenue targets

  • Create opportunities through prospecting meetings, fact-finding calls, and exploratory conversations

Customer Understanding

  • Develop a working knowledge of each prospect's business — their goals, key decision-makers, competitive context, and industry dynamics

  • Use CRM tools to research and map customer relationships before engaging

Business Acumen

  • Support the development of business cases for change, gathering data and documenting components under guidance from senior colleagues

  • Begin to assess the cost, benefit, and risk of potential solutions

  • Build awareness of how your work fits into the broader organization and its financial impact

Product & Market Knowledge

  • Build solid knowledge of Expedia Group's products, technologies, and offerings

  • Develop understanding of competitor products to sharpen your pitch

  • Analyze historical sales data to identify trends and quantify opportunities within your territory

Experience & Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of experience in sales, business development, or a customer-facing role

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Fluent in English and the local language(s) of your market

  • Strong communicator — clear, confident, and professional

  • Curious and data-literate — comfortable navigating analytical information

  • Eager to learn sales techniques and grow fast in a commercial role

How You'll Grow

This role is designed as a launchpad. You'll receive structured coaching, work alongside experienced sales professionals, and quickly develop the skills to own a territory independently.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
