Job Description:

Our work depends on a Cloud Developer joining our team remotely to work on the Salesforce platform and provide IT development in support of Marketplace initiatives. This position is 100% remote with work schedules based on Eastern Standard Time (EST). Work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

How a Salesforce Cloud Developer Will Make an Impact:

• 75% of this role involves custom programming, using Apex, Salesforce lightning component (LWC), JavaScript, Python, Java and other development languages/tools once fully onboarded.
• Use your technical skills to meet complex business requirements.  Use JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to create new custom LWCs aligned to the Salesforce Lightning Design System.  Then use Apex and Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL) to tie it all together.
• Translate complex mathematical logic into application logic using Python and Java.
• Support the Product Owner in gathering requirements by providing solution options and highlighting dependencies with the existing implementation.
• Collaborate with team developers to perform code reviews and provide feedback.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including process documentation, naming and commenting conventions and Salesforce policies/procedures.
• Participate in the full application life cycle end to end, including design/requirements, development, testing, and deployment.
• Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving defects encountered during various stages of project delivery, including during the deployment and implementation of the solution in production environments.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Development Manager, Development Team, Business Analysts, CMS, and other Agile team members to solve complex policy and system integration involving activities across several Salesforce Orgs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of of hands-on programming/custom coding experience with object/oriented and scripting languages.
• Hands-on experience with an object-oriented language such as Python, Javascript, Java, and/or C#.
• Hands-on experience deploying and working in cloud hyper scale environments.
• Experience deploying and operating in major cloud hyperscale environments such as AWS, Google Cloud, and/or Azure.
• Strong understanding of industry standard secure coding and scalable coding patterns.
• Hands-on experience deploying via CI/CD pipeline using tools such as Github Actions, Copado CICD, and/or Jenkins.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git and source control tooling such as Github, Bitbucket, or Azure Devops. 
• Experience using software development tooling such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, or IntelliJ
• Candidate must be willing and able to obtain a CMS Public Trust clearance.
• Candidate must have resided in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong communication skills with the ability to present ideas to various levels/skillsets, both internally and externally.
• Provide technical assistance and end user troubleshooting for bug fixes, enhancements, and “how-to” assistance.
• Ability to multitask between multiple projects and both business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, and JSON.
• Experience in development of Web Services (SOAP and REST).
• Experience working with REST APIs.
• Healthcare Service Industry or Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) experience 
• Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint
• Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks such as, but not limited to: SAFe, Scrum, Kanban

The likely salary range for this position is $125,375 - $169,625. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
