  • Apply IA methods and content systems to deliver scalable solutions within our design system

Research & analysis

  • Synthesize qualitative, quantitative, and business data into actionable content insights

  • Design and run content tests with Research and Product partners; use findings to improve metrics

Collaboration & influence

  • Influence, persuade, and negotiate with stakeholders in Marketing, Brand, and Legal to achieve messaging cohesion across channels and touchpoints

  • Partner with Engineering, Localization, and Accessibility teams to deliver inclusive, readable, translatable content

  • Foster continuous improvement within XD and partner teams

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience in core skills such as UX Writing, content audits and analysis, content mapping and modeling, information architecture, content planning and sourcing, conversational design, and storytelling (this is not a content marketing role)

  • 5+ years of experience as a Content Designer, UX writer, or Content Strategist

  • Strong skills in presenting compelling rationale and narratives behind content strategies and decisions to peers, partners, and key stakeholders - such as Legal, Marketing, Security, Product, and top leadership

  • Expertise in persuasion and negotiation with stakeholders to create optimal experiences that balance both traveler needs and business objectives

  • Experience applying human-centered design (HCD) practices to product experiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience taking a thoughtful, empathetic, and inclusive approach to design that meets every user where they are

  • Experience in solving complicated content problems for multiple user segments and can develop content solutions across brands.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
