Assistant Operations Manager – STAC
Location: Seattle-Tacoma International Airport
Reports To: Contract General Manager

Position Summary
The Assistant Manager supports daily STAC operations and supervises shift supervisors and frontline staff across Premium and DO/EXIT service areas. This role ensures efficient operations, compliance with airport safety standards, and consistent service delivery. The position is currently scheduled from 10 AM – 6 PM including leadership responsibilities and providing operational coverage during the absence of the Operations Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operational coverage and staffing assignments.

• Monitor call-outs and coordinate staffing adjustments with supervisors.

• Conduct shift briefings and ensure accurate reporting and operational documentation.

• Supervise shift supervisors and frontline staff, providing direction and accountability.

• Maintain an active floor presence to support staff and resolve operational or guest service issues.

• Support employee onboarding, training, and ongoing safety and compliance programs.

• Participate in performance management, including feedback and corrective action when required.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, airport regulations, and service standards.

• Assist with quality assurance initiatives and emergency preparedness.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in operations, hospitality, aviation, or a similar service environment.

• Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead teams in a fast-paced operational environment.

• Strong judgment and analytical skills.

• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

• Must be able to pass a background check to obtain and maintain an Airport Security Badge.

 

This is a full-time Hourly position from $30-$35 hourly.
