Overview
Ntrepid Corporation is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a small innovative team. The ideal candidate is someone who has a background designing, building, and scaling automation tools for managing a dynamic network of secure hybrid infrastructure. The candidate must have great communication skills and a passion for automating everything. A proven track record of maintaining dependable, mission-critical systems and products is a must. Experience securing remote infrastructure is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities- Drives efforts in automation, continuous deployment, build, and configuration management.
- Manage and orchestrate a global network of infrastructure with an emphasis on test driven development, security best practices and monitoring.
- Architect and build cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Contribute to developing and deploying automation support for CI/CD.
- Develop infrastructure as code and testable infrastructure.
- Develop appropriate metrics to demonstrate performance and operational efficiency.
- Work cross-functionally with various teams to drive amazing results.
- Resolve problems at their root with simple and repeatable solutions.
- Automate systems management solutions with self-repair as the goal.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Bachelor’s or higher in computer science, information technology, or equivalent (can be waived for corresponding experience) with 7+ years of relevant experience.
- 6-8 years of experience working with Linux in an enterprise production environment.
- Extensive experience using the platform automation software tools Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience with supporting production infrastructure systems in public Clouds, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with programming and scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring and logging software such as Prometheus and Splunk.
- Experience with OpenSearch/Elastic search in a redundant highly available environment.
- Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins or Github Actions.
- Experience in network engineering and security principles (e.g. protocols, routing, switching, filtering, firewall rules, etc.).
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Xen.
- Familiar with containerized solutions using Docker/Kubernetes.
- Good understanding of build pipeline, molecule testing, packaging, and artifact management.
- Good understanding of security and systems best practices.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and VPNs.
- Basic understanding of Site Reliability methodologies.
