Federato is on a mission to defend the right to efficient, equitable insurance for all. We enable insurers to provide affordable coverage to people and organizations facing the issues of today - the climate crisis, cyber-attacks, social inflation, etc. Our vision is understood and well funded by those behind Salesforce, Veeva, Zoom, Box, etc.

Federato’s AI/ML-driven platform leverages deep reinforcement learning to help insurance companies optimize the portfolio of risks they insure, allowing them to continue to provide fair and equitable pricing in difficult-to-price areas. Our category-defining ‘RiskOps’ solution drives better underwriting decisions by operationalizing underutilized data investments and surfacing real-time risk and portfolio insights. We focus on putting insurance underwriters back in the driver’s seat, helping them meet their goals while providing an important service to society.

We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Product Marketing to lead our product marketing strategy. This strategic role is equal parts storyteller, strategist, and operator—responsible for driving positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy across our rapidly evolving product portfolio. You’ll partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to bring clarity to complexity and build narratives that resonate with enterprise buyers. If you’re excited by the idea of turning powerful AI-native technology into compelling stories and gtm strategies, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the GTM strategy for new product launches, feature rollouts, and market expansions.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive product positioning, messaging, and competitive differentiation.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to build and optimize enablement tools and playbooks.
  • Conduct in-depth market, customer, and competitive research to identify opportunities and inform positioning.
  • Build and maintain buyer personas, market segmentation strategies, and use-case frameworks.
  • Be the voice of the customer internally and help shape the roadmap in collaboration with Product.
  • Create and maintain a library of compelling sales collateral, one-pagers, pitch decks, battle cards, and ROI tools.
  • Partner with Revenue teams to design and execute impactful enablement programs and training.
  • Collaborate with Demand Gen on campaign strategy and content that converts.
  • Work with industry analysts and partners to support category creation and brand credibility.
  • Represent the company at industry events, webinars, and customer-facing forums as a thought leader.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in B2B product marketing, with 4+ years in a leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise SaaS GTM motions; experience with AI software products a strong plus.
  • Proven success driving product adoption and revenue growth through targeted messaging and GTM strategy.
  • Strong communicator with experience aligning cross-functional stakeholders across product, sales, marketing, and exec teams.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and pivot quickly as priorities evolve in a high-growth environment.
  • Passion for storytelling, customer-centric thinking, and bringing innovation to life in market.
  • Experience marketing technical products to non-technical buyers.

Here at Federato, your capabilities are important, but culture fit is quintessential. We move fast, are eager to listen to our users, take a first principles approach to solving problems, and value learning and the ability to change our minds. Most importantly, we're here to have fun. Our ability to make a difference starts with our people. We would love to work with you!

We are an equal-opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status or disability status. We will provide reasonable accommodation to individuals with disabilities to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment. Please contact us to request accommodation at [email protected]

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
