Event Senior Specialist

Why We Have This Role

You’ll play a key role in bringing some of our most important events to life—both the ones our customers experience and the ones that build our company culture. From keeping the operational gears turning to supporting high-impact, large-scale events, your work will be felt across the business. You'll partner closely with a seasoned and welcoming team that values precision, follow-through, and curiosity. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow in event marketing by doing meaningful work that directly contributes to company momentum.

How You’ll Find Success
  • You’re highly organized and detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
  • You take initiative and follow through, progressing work independently with limited guidance and following up consistently—without needing to be reminded.
  • You’re eager to learn and adapt quickly, diving into new tools and processes with curiosity, and striving to get up to speed independently whenever possible.
  • You support complex marketing efforts with precision, helping manage execution while actively looking for ways to improve both efficiency and quality.
  • You’re a clear communicator who builds trust, collaborating effectively across teams and ensuring stakeholders are informed, aligned, and supported.
  • You’re growth-minded and receptive to feedback, seeking opportunities to strengthen your skills and contribute more effectively every step of the way.
How You’ll Grow
  • Get hands-on experience supporting large-scale, high-visibility events, building foundational skills in planning, logistics, and execution.
  • Be part of a growing team shaping a new Events Center of Excellence, gaining exposure to how strategic event programs are built and scaled.
  • Work on exciting, evolving events, contributing to programs that are expanding and adapting, giving you a front-row seat to innovation in action.
  • Learn from experienced event professionals, agencies, and vendors, developing your skills through mentorship and real-world collaboration.
Things You’ll Do
  • Provide operational support to the events team, including managing documentation, scheduling meetings, and maintaining Slack channels for seamless communication.
  • Track and manage event contracts and financial documentation, including quotes, scope of works (SOW) and request for proposals (RFP); collaborate with finance to ensure accurate tracking and timely payments.
  • Onboard contractors and agencies, ensuring they have access to necessary systems, documents, and event information to ramp up quickly.
  • Support event execution, coordinating program elements, ordering and managing swag and materials, and assisting with travel arrangements for site visits and customer participation.
  • Assist with research and project and deadline management, helping senior team members stay organized and informed across multiple event initiatives.
  • Deliver excellent customer and internal support, managing event inboxes and Slack channels, maintaining service plans and documentation, and coordinating attendee services like info desks and accessibility accommodations.
What We’re Looking For On Your Resume
  • 3+ years of professional event marketing experience, ideally within a tech company or fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on experience with pre-event planning and onsite execution, including customer-facing conferences and internal events such as Sales Kickoffs (SKOs).
  • Proficient in Slack and Google Workspace tools (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Docs); experience with Tableau and Salesforce is a plus.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with procurement and finance, especially in managing contracts, SOWs, and payments.
  • Experience using event technology platforms such as Cvent, Eventbase, Rainfocus, or Splash is preferred.
  • Proven ability to thrive in high-volume, fast-paced environments, managing multiple priorities with strong organization and attention to detail.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
