  • Partner with Engineering leaders as a finance advisor, supporting financial data needs, resource allocation and business decisions
  • Own key components of the revenue forecast and performance analysis, developing models that translate bookings, backlog, pricing, and customer/product trends into insights that shape Go-To-Market strategy and executive decision-making
  • Perform variance analysis comparing actual spending against budget and forecast to highlight risks, identify cost drivers, and surface savings opportunities
  • Build and maintain financial models and analyses supporting headcount, operating expenses, revenue, and other business drivers
  • Collaborate with Accounting during month-end close to ensure accurate expense classification, accruals, and financial reporting
  • Assist in preparing reporting packages and presentation materials for both Executive and Senior leadership
  • Assist in driving continuous improvement of finance processes, tools, and documentation
What You Will Bring:

  • Experience with SQL, Power Query, or other data tools is a plus
  • Comfort using AI tools (e.g., Claude) to accelerate analysis, modeling, and documentation
  • Exposure to ERP systems and planning tools
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and month-end close processes

And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
