Job Duties and Responsibilities
EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position will be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for assigned business areas
  • Support the annual budget, quarterly forecast, and long-range planning processes
  • Perform variance analysis on actual results versus budget and forecast, and explain key business drivers
  • Develop, maintain, and improve financial models used for planning, reporting, and decision support
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement
  • Partner with accounting and cross-functional teams to ensure financial data accuracy and alignment between reported results and forecasts
  • Prepare presentations and communicate financial insights, risks, and opportunities clearly to management and business partners
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis, profitability reviews, and other special projects as needed

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related analytical role

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Solid understanding of financial statements
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to all levels of management
  • Experience with financial systems such as Hyperion, SAP, Oracle, or similar planning and reporting tools
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across finance, accounting, and business teams

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $79,000.00/Year - $99,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
