The Role

What You’ll Do
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Own full-cycle recruitment: build and manage the hiring plan, and coordinate with external recruiting firms where needed.
- Proactively source quality candidates using job boards, social media, and professional networks.
- Screen resumes and applications, and conduct interviews to assess candidates' knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Guide hiring managers and stakeholders through the interview process, from role scoping to offer.
HR Operations & Employee Relations
- Develop and oversee new hire orientation, onboarding, and the offboarding/termination process.
- Administer employee benefits programs.
- Serve as the first point of contact for managers and employees on HR matters; coach and support managers in a way consistent with TEAL's values.
- Support managers through conversations on career growth, performance management, compensation, and equity.
- Evaluate and implement new HR and recruiting software, including but not limited to payroll platforms, Applicant Tracking System (ATS), HRIS/HCM platform, onboarding software, performance management tools, Learning management system (LMS), and compensation benchmarking tools.
Strategic HR Partnership & Compliance
- Participate in leadership meetings to diagnose and solve talent and organizational problems.
- Create and drive development, employee relations, retention, and reward programs.
- Review HR programs and policies for compliance with employment laws and best practices and recommend changes as needed.
- 5-8+ years of experience as an HR Specialist, Generalist, Recruiter, and/or Business Partner, ideally at a startup or other fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Hands-on experience recruiting talent and managing a high-growth hiring plan.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including frequent collaboration with Legal, Finance, and department leaders.
- A track record of developing, implementing, and managing people policies, processes, software, tools, and programs that create a positive employee experience.
- A collaborative, thoughtful HR leader who sees the big picture but is excited about rolling up your sleeves and building upon Teal's HR and recruiting foundation.
- Proven ability to build trust and influence at the executive level.
- Good judgment and the ability to balance the needs of the company, managers, and employees.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to distill data into clear insight and action.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with a small HR and recruiting team.
- A bias toward continuous improvement in people strategy and process.

- Base salary: $120,000 - $150,000 annually
