Precision Door Service (PDS) is seeking an experienced HR Ops & Payroll Manager who will advise and problem solve using business insights on wide variety of payroll & people operations including multi-state payroll administration, benefits administration and HR shared services to name a few. As a compliance expert, you’ll stay abreast of both payroll & employment laws. As a technology & systems expert, you’ll own the HR and Payroll system management, people data and be the point of contact for information, reporting and metrics. You’ll lead a team of Payroll & HR professionals ensuring the highest levels of service for our people throughout the employee lifecycle. What you will do:
  • Own, manage and lead the payroll administration including;
    • Compilation, analysis, preparation, and input of payroll related information into payroll system ensuring accurate and timely processing.
    • Compile and review payroll/hr-related information for year-end reporting (W2, 401(k) contributions, taxes, ACA, EEO-1, etc.)
    • Resolve problems and respond to inquiries related to payroll earnings, deductions and tax withholding.
    • Research tax requirements and prepare tax filings for workers’ compensation and any special information requested for external parties/auditors.
    • Monitor regulatory and legislative changes, on both the state and federal level that impacts payroll and HR. Propose and implement changes to systems and processes when needed.
  • Own, manage and lead the day-to-day HR operations including:
    • Benefits administration including analysis, auditing, reconciliation, reporting and support for benefit offerings and vendors.
    • Onboarding process including background checks, 90-day onboarding plans, orientations, I-9 compliance and other actions that affect a positive candidate experience.
    • Maintain employee data across HR systems, capturing all status changes in an employee lifecycle and ensuring data entry has appropriate audit procedures.
    • Analyzes data, provides analytics and KPI reporting to HR Leadership, monitors metric trends and provides executive summaries.
    • Responsible for HR/Payroll systems, administration and data integrity, integrations, maintenance and updates.
  • Lead, coach & mentor payroll and HR operations team members.
 
What you should bring:
  • 6+ years of Payroll and/or HR experience with at least 3 years in a multi-state Payroll or HR shared services leadership role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Expert-level Microsoft Excel skillset including writing advanced formulas, analyzing large volumes of data, pivot-tables and macros.
  • A track record of delivering consultative approaches to payroll administration, HCM technology and systems architecture, labor analytics and shared services
  • Expertise leveraging project management skills to HR and/or Payroll programs & implementations

Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $80,000 – $110,000 per year.
