Salary Range:$95,000 USD - $140,000 USD

Specific compensation will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. At Russell Investments, salary is just one part of our compensation package. Our total rewards approach includes an annual performance bonus (subject to eligibility criteria) in addition to participation in our competitive benefits programs including healthcare, retirement, vacation, and wellbeing programs.


Job Description:

Joining our Russell Investments’ Human Resources team means joining a passionate and supportive team that plays a critical role in driving business performance and organizational effectiveness. As an HR Business Partner, you will act as a trusted and strategic advisor to business leaders, helping align people strategies with enterprise priorities and enabling high-performing teams.

In this role, you will partner closely with leaders across Global Information Technology to deliver HR solutions that enable business outcomes, with opportunities to support additional business units. You will deliver HR solutions that support business outcomes, providing guidance across the full employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, talent development, and compensation.

This Seattle-based role offers the opportunity to build strong, global partnerships and gain exposure across a dynamic, fast-paced organization.

Success in this position requires strong business acumen, a proactive and collaborative mindset, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities.

Your Core Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership & Advisory

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with leaders to provide proactive, solutions-oriented HR guidance
  • Partner with the business to identify talent needs, organizational challenges, and emerging risks
  • Coach managers on leadership effectiveness, team performance, and employee engagement

Talent & Performance Management

  • Support and execute key talent processes including performance management, compensation planning, and talent reviews, partnering effectively with our HR Centers of Excellence.
  • Partner with leaders on workforce planning, succession planning, and development strategies
  • Collaborate with recruiting to define hiring needs and support effective selection processes

Employee Experience & Relations

  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies
  • Foster an inclusive, high-performing culture aligned with Russell Investments’ values
  • Conduct exit interviews and identify trends to inform retention strategies

HR Programs, Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure effective delivery and adoption of HR programs and initiatives across the business
  • Interpret and apply HR policies, employment laws, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate HR data and leverage Workday for reporting, insights, and process execution
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, tools, and ways of working
  • Provide ad-hoc support to HRBP team as directed by Senior HRBPs.
  • Other HR projects and initiatives as required.

Your Expertise:

  • 2-4 years Human Resources work experience, with exposure to HR Business Partnering for ~2 years preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of HR practices, HR regulations, employment law, and employee relations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track workforce design and planning decisions.
  • Ability to partner across business transformation initiatives with a continuous improvement focus and growth mindset.
  • High level of discretion and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
  • Experience supporting talent processes such as performance management, compensation, and recruiting
  • Hands on experience of organizational design and change management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with HR systems (Workday preferred) and Microsoft Office tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Self-motivated and possess the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
