The Answer Financial Inside Sales Commercial Senior Consultant II is a member of Answer Financials’ internal commercial sales team and consists of licensed sales professionals who accept incoming calls and make outbound calls to prospective customers and partners. In this role, the Senior Consultant II assesses customer needs and identifies and sells commercial insurance products and services available through commercial insurance carrier partners, including excess and surplus insurance.

The position includes finalizing the sale of these products and services while ensuring all offerings comply with insurance carrier partner guidelines, Answer Financial sales center standards, and applicable state regulatory requirements. In addition to individual sales responsibilities, the Inside Senior Consultant II provides mentoring and coaching to AFI Inside Sales Specialists to support ongoing development and growth in the role.

COMPENSATION:
  • Base pay range: $21.23 to $29.20 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications. The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
  • Target total compensation: $58,890-$88,330 per year per year (Base Pay + Uncapped Performance-Based Incentives). Incentives are based on productivity and are not guaranteed. Payments are governed by the terms of the applicable sales bonus plan, which is subject to change at Answer Financials’ discretion.
  • Pay differentials may apply for Spanish/English bilingual.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Sell multiple commercial insurance products, including excess and surplus insurance, while providing an exceptional customer experience and achieving acceptable retention on written business.
  • Adhere to scripts in this highly regulated industry to ensure compliance. Build rapport with callers and provide a high level of customer engagement.
  • Recommend solutions and product options to meet customer needs, including increased coverage and product combinations.
  • Promptly return calls to customer inquiries, follow up on past quotes, and finalize or preserve sales.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of insurance carrier product guidelines and stay current on offerings, enhancements, and changes.
  • Maintain state licensing requirements and stay informed on regulatory changes and compliance standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Direct Referral Partners, including asking for and inspiring referred leads.
  • Resolve complex commercial insurance sales inquiries.
  • Act as subject matter expert and provide mentoring and coaching to AFI Inside Sales Specialists to support their ongoing development and growth.
  • Meet business needs by following attendance, adherence, and quality guidelines while maintaining established production levels.
EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Bachelor's degree (preferred).

EXPERIENCE:

• 3 or more years of commercial sales experience (preferred)

  • Property Casualty license required.

• This job does not have supervisory duties.

Answer Financial provides a comprehensive technology setup, including a laptop, monitors, headset, keyboard, and mouse. Employees eligible to work from home also receive a monthly connectivity reimbursement to help offset internet costs. When working from home, you must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, along with appropriate desk and seating. Reliable internet is required, with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.

*Please note Company guidelines require a Property & Casualty license. You are responsible for completing and covering the cost of all Continuing Education courses if required within 6 months of hire date. **In addition, due to state pre-licensing requirements and resident license processing we do not hire in certain states if you are unlicensed.
