Location: LIHI Main Office - International District, Seattle

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week

Reports To: IT Manager

Pay Range: $38.46-40.87 hourly

Position Type: Non-Union, non-exempt position

The Technical Liaison plays a crucial role in supporting the migration of phone and computer systems to new network infrastructure, acting as a point of contact and technical expert for telecom and internet service providers. Need to possess Technical Proficiency, Problem-Solving, Communication, Relationship Management, Project Management, Adaptability, and Attention to Detail. This role requires strong communication, technical understanding, and problem-solving skills to ensure a smooth and successful transition.

Responsibilities:

Project Coordination:

  • Participate in the planning and execution of network migration projects,

  • ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain project timelines, tracking progress and identifying

  • potential issues.

  • Manage communications with telecom/internet service providers, keeping them

  • informed of project status and any changes.

Technical Support:

  • Provide technical guidance and support to telecom/internet service providers

  • on network infrastructure, equipment, and services.

  • Assist in the troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues related to

  • network connectivity, phone systems, and computer systems.

  • Collaborate with internal IT teams to identify and implement solutions to

  • technical problems.

Communication and Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for telecom/internet service

  • providers, building and maintaining strong relationships.

  • Represent the company's interests in technical discussions and negotiations

  • with external vendors.

  • Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and

  • non-technical audiences.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of project activities, technical specifications,

  • and vendor interactions.

  • Prepare reports and presentations on project progress and performance.

  • Document technical procedures and best practices for future reference.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends in telecommunications

  • and networking.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.

  • Participate in training and development activities to enhance technical

  • skills.

Other:

  • Engage with assigned training and comply with training deadlines

  • Utilize PPE Equipment and follow PPE protocols

  • Other job duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or equivalent

  • 2 years’ in telecommunication, networking, or IT support

  • Strong understanding of telecommunications and networking technologies (e.g., VoIP, IP, Ethernet, etc.).

  • Experience with network infrastructure, equipment, and services.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.

  • Able to read, write and communicate in English

  • Must pass criminal background checks and drug screening

  • Must pass motor vehicle/driving record checks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with specific telecom/internet service providers.

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.

  • Relevant certifications (e .g., CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+).

Other Requirements:

  • Must have a valid Washington State driver’s license and driver liability insurance.

  • Must have regular access to a reliable vehicle. Mileage is provided for travel between sites during shift

The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) has a 30-year history and track record of owning and managing low-income housing; developing innovative solutions to homelessness; advocating for housing justice; providing supportive services; and operating hygiene services for homeless people at our Urban Rest Stops. LIHI staff have developed over 5,000 affordable housing units and manages over 3,000 units including rental housing, permanent supportive housing and transitional housing. The populations served include: families, singles, seniors, veterans, young adults, immigrants, low wage workers, and people living with physical and mental disabilities. LIHI is one of the largest nonprofit housing organizations in the state. Our properties are located in Seattle, King County, and five adjacent counties. LIHI is a national leader in sponsoring tiny house villages as a crisis solution to homelessness. Annually, the tiny house villages and shelters serve 2,000 homeless people and our hygiene programs serve over 8,000 homeless people. LIHI staff is collaborative, dynamic, and dedicated to taking bold steps in ending homelessness and creating supportive communities for people to thrive.
