Build at Auger
Auger is the autonomous operating system for supply chains. It connects enterprise supply chain systems—ERP, WMS, TMS—into a single data layer, then uses AI to detect problems, evaluate trade-offs, and execute decisions automatically. The platform eliminates the coordination tax: the time and capital lost when disconnected systems force humans to become the integration layer between planning and execution. Actions that previously required days of meetings and manual coordination happen in seconds, within constraints the customer defines.

Founded by Dave Clark and backed by $100M from Oak HC/FT. Headquartered in Bellevue, Washington.
About the Team & Role

At Auger, we build systems that eliminate latency between signal and execution. Our internal infrastructure is no different. Our IT organization’s north star is delivering an environment where builders never wait on tools, access, or infrastructure. It means modern tooling that accelerates how our teams work, and operational systems that scale with the company as we grow.

This role owns corporate IT end-to-end and builds the internal capability required for the next phase of growth. Auger moves fast. Your IT organization will build the foundation that lets everyone else move faster — while ensuring the reliability, access controls, and operational security required to support what we’re building.

You will work closely with our DevOps and Application Security teams to ensure corporate systems, endpoints, and identity infrastructure align with our broader engineering and security architecture.

What you’ll do

  • Corporate IT operations across help desk, employee onboarding and offboarding, systems engineering, SaaS administration, identity management, endpoints, and corporate networking.
  • Identity and access infrastructure, partnering with security and engineering teams to ensure the right access controls, lifecycle management, and auditability across systems.
  • Corporate systems and productivity tooling, ensuring engineers and business teams have reliable, high-performance tools that allow them to move quickly.
  • Endpoint and device management across laptops, mobile devices, and corporate assets — including provisioning, lifecycle management, and security baselines.
  • Vendor relationships, contracts, procurement, and service performance for IT systems, SaaS platforms, and infrastructure providers, including managing and optimizing our relationship with our existing MSP.
  • Clear service metrics including SLAs, response times, reliability, and operational health — tracked and enforced.
  • Corporate security enablement, partnering with the Application Security team to implement endpoint security, identity policies, device posture, and internal controls that protect Auger’s IP.
  • The structure and operating model for IT as Auger scales. You will evaluate how work is distributed across internal staff, external partners, and automation, and build a sustainable organization that supports company growth.
  • Scalable processes, documentation, and operating rhythms that continue to function as the company grows.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive IT experience with direct ownership of core corporate systems and IT operations.
  • Experience scaling IT inside a high-growth company — you’ve built systems and processes, not just maintained them.
  • Strong systems thinking across identity, endpoints, SaaS platforms, corporate networking, and enterprise tooling.
  • Experience implementing modern identity and device management platforms (Okta, Google Workspace, MDM, etc.).
  • Practical understanding of how corporate IT intersects with security — including access management, endpoint protection, and internal security controls.
  • A track record of managing vendors and holding them accountable to measurable outcomes.
  • Experience working effectively with managed service providers and external partners.
  • The ability to prioritize under ambiguity and make pragmatic tradeoffs in a fast-moving environment.
  • High ownership — you follow problems through to resolution.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
