Manage AI/ML projects from Proof of Concept to Minimum Viable Product using Agile methodologies while ensuring stakeholder communication and project alignment.
Job Description SummaryJoin a central AI/ML & Innovation team that partners across Electrification to build internal AI products that change how our company works. In this remote job, you will own delivery from PoC to MVP using Agile + NPI/Stage Gate, manage a handful of initiatives at any given time, and make sure projects ship on time and create the value promised. You will orchestrate internal stakeholders and external development providers, shape statements of work, challenge timelines/approaches when needed, and keep leadership informed through crisp, value oriented reporting. Jira/Azure DevOps are your daily tools.Job Description#LI-Remote - This is a remote position
Role & Key Responsibilities:
- Plan & deliver AI/ML projects from Proof of Concept (PoC) to Minimum Viable Product (MVP) using Agile (Scrum/Kanban) with NPI/Stage‑Gate governance; maintain realistic roadmaps and replans when risks land.
- Translate business needs into a clear Statement of Work and deliverables for external providers; align on feasible architecture/approach with our internal technical leads.
- Challenge vendor schedules and assumptions credibly—based on your AI/ML project exposure—so PoCs/MVPs are right‑sized and timely.
- Run Agile cadence (backlog health, sprint planning/reviews/retros, daily stand‑ups) and keep sprint outcomes aligned to NPI milestones.
- Own value realization & KPIs: track on‑time delivery, adoption vs. forecast, savings/value, and escalate issues early; maintain a risk/dependency register.
- Stakeholder comms & reporting: act as the coordination hub between technical teams, internal customers (sales/engineering/marketing), and leadership; publish clear bowler/KPI updates.
- Continuous improvement: promote Lean habits so we automate only what creates value, capturing lessons learned between NPI cycles.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven project management experience in software/digital/AI contexts, with hands‑on Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and familiarity with NPI/Stage‑Gate delivery.
- AI/ML exposure is required (you don’t need to be a data scientist, but you must understand the lifecycle: data readiness → model build → integration → deployment—and be able to engage with providers in a meaningful way).
- Demonstrated ability to own value & KPIs, not just schedules (adoption, savings, business impact).
- Strong stakeholder influence and clear, structured communication with technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Experience using JIRA and Azure DevOps (or equivalent software).
- Fluent English oral & written.
Nice-to-have qualifications:
- Background in industrial environments (e.g., automotive, aerospace, large‑scale manufacturing) where Stage‑Gate and cross‑functional orchestration are common.
- Systems‑engineering/DevOps/data familiarity—enough to sanity‑check architectures and estimates.
- French language.
- Experience working with internal tech groups (e.g., research centers) plus external providers in a multi‑vendor model.
What We Offer:
- A high‑impact role in a central AI/ML & Innovation team that supports multiple businesses in Electrification—real enterprise‑wide reach.
- The chance to change how GE Vernova works with AI—moving from “AI as a tool” to AI as a partner that lets our people focus on customer value.
- Remote working model across selected EMEA countries; limited but purposeful travel for program milestones and deployments.
- A delivery culture that blends Agile ways of working with the discipline of NPI to ship value quickly and safely.
