The Devices Fulfillment and Logistics (F&L) team is anchored on optimizing the distribution network and delivering Microsoft’s key products to customers.  As the Logistics Manager - Outbound you will be responsible for outbound freight within North America, LATAM, and Canada, with primary accountability for logistics, customs compliance, cost control, service performance, and cross-functional coordination supporting product builds, launches, and replenishment flows. This role manages logistics execution escalations and collaborates with internal stakeholders and external partners - including Trade, Finance, Supply Planning, third-party logistics providers, and transportation carriers - to ensure compliant, cost-efficient, and on-time delivery of goods to customers.

Responsibilities
  • Manage outbound AOC logistics flows across air and ocean, including direct ship, HCM, and launch programs.
  • Serve as the Logistics Manager (Vendor Partner) for the AOC logistics network, bringing solid industry expertise to identify, analyze, and resolve operational challenges while ensuring service excellence and SLA adherence.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert (SME) for transportation execution across parcel, LTL, FTL, and air, driving consistent delivery against service, cost, and security requirements, including support for replenishment cycles, new product launches, and peak demand periods.
  • Drive day-to-day execution and structured operational cadence, including managing ad hoc initiatives, establishing governance rhythms, and consistently tracking and improving key performance metrics.
  • Collaborate closely with Microsoft stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and vendor partners to gather insights, enable data-driven decisions, and deliver measurable improvements in process efficiency, service performance, and cost optimization.
  • Coordinate with Planning, Operations, and external partners to ensure logistics capacity supports launch timelines and volume ramps.
  • Apply solid analytical capability to support data-driven decision-making, root cause analysis, and identification of improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of logistics systems and tools, including TMS, WMS, ERP, and related digital platforms supporting supply chain operations.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and service partners to ensure consistent delivery against contractual commitments, KPIs, and SLAs.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in Procurement, Supply chain, Logistics, International Business, Operations-related roles, or Engineering.
    • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience managing Air, Ocean, and Land transportation within complex global logistics networks. 
  • Knowledge of Trade and compliance policies to support operational decisions.
  • Understanding of logistics systems (TMS, WMS, ERP) and technologies.
  • Proven experience managing relationships with third-party logistics providers, custom brokers and vendors to ensure the successful delivery of solutions.
  • Analytical skills enabling data driven decisions.
  • Experience supporting high-tech or consumer electronics supply chains.

Fulfillment & Logistics IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000 - $206,400 per year.
