About the Role

SmarTek21 is seeking an Intune Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and operating endpoint-management automation, configuration-as-code frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines across Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365 environments, while developing robust C#/.NET integration services to scale platform reliability and reduce manual deployment overhead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.

  • Develop and maintain endpoint-management automation using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph APIs, and related Microsoft technologies.

  • Engineer and operate Intune configuration-as-code capabilities, including export, validation, approval, deployment, drift detection, and rollback.

  • Support automation involving Microsoft 365 Desired State Configuration (M365DSC) where appropriate.

  • Develop, upgrade, and support ADEM-owned APIs, libraries, proxy services, reporting components, and integration services using C# and .NET.

  • Maintain deployment automation for application code, databases, cloud infrastructure, and configuration.

  • Implement automated validation and compilation checks prior to approving production changes.

  • Establish repository structures, branching practices, CODEOWNERS, peer-review requirements, and release controls.

  • Manage service identities, credentials, permissions, and non-human accounts utilized across automation pipelines.

  • Integrate ADEM platforms with Intune, Entra ID, Azure, ServiceNow, Power Automate, and adjacent enterprise services.

  • Troubleshoot complex pipeline, API, deployment, authentication, and configuration-management failures across platforms.

  • Instrument services and automation to measure system health, deployment outcomes, configuration drift, and operational failures.

  • Modernize or decommission legacy repositories, pipelines, artifacts, cloud resources, and supporting services.

  • Author technical documentation, operational runbooks, architecture diagrams, and procedures while eliminating single-person dependencies through cross-training.

  • Partner with endpoint, desktop, security, product, and support teams to establish configuration ownership and engineering standards.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience building and maintaining production infrastructure automation or platform-engineering solutions.

  • Advanced PowerShell development and script troubleshooting expertise.

  • Experience building CI/CD workflows utilizing GitHub Actions or a comparable enterprise pipeline platform.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Git, pull requests, branching strategies, peer-review workflows, and source-control governance.

  • Hands-on experience automating Microsoft Intune or Microsoft 365 services via Microsoft Graph APIs.

  • In-depth working knowledge of Intune configurations, policies, applications, assignments, and administrative controls.

  • Software development experience with C# and modern .NET, including APIs, background services, or shared libraries.

  • Experience managing application configuration, credentials, service identities, and deployment environments.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of automated testing, change validation, deployment, rollback, and production verification practices.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills spanning application code, automation pipelines, cloud services, identity, permissions, and endpoint platforms.

  • Proven ability to translate operational processes into maintainable, governed automation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing Microsoft 365 Desired State Configuration (M365DSC).

  • Hands-on experience with Entra ID governance, Azure services, ServiceNow workflows, or Power Automate integrations.

  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, Azure Developer Associate, or DevOps Engineer Expert).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

Benefits

Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability coverage, paid holidays, and a Paid Time Off (PTO) program that meets or exceeds applicable Washington paid sick leave requirements.
