Job Description

AECOM is seeking to hire a MOT Discipline Lead (Design Build) to support our exciting projects in the Pacific Northwest.

  • Serves as lead engineer on large-complex projects.
  • Leads and mentors a team.
  • Approves and signs off on work.
  • Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts.
  • Presents complex technical solutions to clients.
  • Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.
  • Participates and leads task force meetings for the MOT discipline.
  • Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer license and ability to obtain Washington PE within six months if not currently registered in WA.
  • Expertise in developing design packages for highway and/or roadway improvement projects in Washington State.
  • Experience as Maintenance of Traffic Discipline Lead, with WSDOT, on Design Build projects.
  • Minimum of 12 years of technical experience which reflect a progressively increasing level of leadership and responsibility.
  • Experience managing a large team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in the use of and ability to lead others in the use of Microstation and InRoads.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Local candidates to Seattle highly preferred.
  • In-office/project office co-location required.
