Good understanding data warehouse, analytics, big data and cloud computing technologies, emerging trends and related technology

Proven experience delivering complex application development projects using Microsoft BI technology stack

A deep understanding of, and ability to use and explain all aspects of, relational database design, multidimensional database design, OLTP, OLAP, KPIs, Scorecards, and Dashboards

A deep understanding of, and ability to use and explain all aspects of application integration in .NET and data integration with SQL Server and associated technologies and standards

Expert level knowledge in at least one and deep knowledge of the following Enterprise Server technology areas is also required: SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Office SharePoint Server Enterprise features, and PowerBI.

Expert level experience in SQL Server performance tuning and administration working with Large to very large databases (multiple terabyte or larger).

Practical knowledge of building complex business insight solutions

Knowledge of Agile development methodologies

Able to articulate pros & cons of design/architecture decisions across a wide spectrum of factors - e.g. compute, network and storage related to business insight solutions.

Able to coach and mentor a broad constituency –Technical Leads, Engineers, Partners, & Customers

Able to distill widely variant feedback into root cause issues and provide actionable feedback to other stakeholders

Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Large enterprise deployment experience in complex heterogeneous environments

Ability to move between high level architectural review/design and level of actually doing all phases of an application delivery project.

The ideal candidate is pro-active, shows an ability to see the big picture and can prioritize the right work items in order to optimize the overall team output.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

At least 7 years of experience with Information Technology.

Responsibilities:

Understand overall technical landscape to come up with optimal solutions/solution frameworks

Provide overall technical guidance to one or more projects

Participate in technical discussion to 

present solution to Sr Leadersip teams

ensure alignment of solution with the overall technology roadmap

Recommend architecture best practices related to ETL, ELT, BI, and the life-cycle of an EDW solution

Define technical roadmaps for the project

Keep yourself on the edge of new technologies

Coordinate with Engineering team and technical experts throughout the Project life cycle

Manage resources at multiple locations
