  • Establish priorities, clarify requirements, and guide cross-functional teams through complex product decisions, balancing customer value, business impact, operational considerations, and technical feasibility.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; or equivalent related professional experience.
  • Several years of relevant product management experience delivering complex products, platforms, or analytical solutions, with demonstrated ownership across the product lifecycle.
  • Experience leading products that require collaboration across multiple technical and business domains, including translating ambiguous problems into actionable product strategies, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong ability to use customer insights, business context, quantitative analysis, experimentation, and market or operational data to make product decisions and communicate recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience taking products from concept to scaled adoption.
  • Experience leading pricing, inventory, marketplace, optimization, forecasting, or similarly complex data-driven products in high-volume or rapidly changing environments.
  • Track record of influencing product strategy and technical direction across multiple teams or domains, including making sound prioritization and tradeoff decisions.
  • Experience improving product and operational excellence through experimentation, instrumentation, automation, process improvement, and disciplined measurement of outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience using AI-driven tools, platforms, or workflows in product discovery, decision support, forecasting, experimentation, or optimization, and safely integrating AI/ML-enabled capabilities into production products.

And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
