Job Description

Reporting to the SVP of Marketing, the Marketing Director is responsible for driving the marketing strategy, planning and execution to meet revenue and budget targets for a portfolio of 20+ programs as well as new programs in development. You will supervise a team of product marketers, ensuring that campaigns are seamlessly executed, optimized for performance, and aligned with company growth goals.

The K12 Individual business is one of three Divisions at WorldStrides, where you will have the opportunity to drive rapid growth and change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders including: K12 Individual business leadership, Sales, Customer Experience, Product Management, Marketing Shared Services, and Program Delivery.

The ideal candidate will be a strong direct-to-consumer marketer with a player coach mentality and a background in integrating direct mail with digital strategies. Success in this position will require leadership, team and people development, a strong analytical and financial mindset, influencing skills, and the ability to prioritize projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment. The role will be a balance of supporting the marketing team to keep the core programs successful and taking new ideas or programs and bringing them to market.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Division and Marketing Leadership to establish goals and marketing strategy of multi-channel campaigns, including defining product offerings/segmentation, channel distribution types, and cost/revenue analysis
  • Oversee a team in executing multi-channel campaigns, including customer acquisition, reactivation and retention campaigns
  • Lead data source analysis, audience segmentation, and end-to-end campaign execution across diverse programs to drive direct mail performance
  • Help manage the development of the marketing budget, forecasts and projections, with goal of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and identifying growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with Division Marketing and Shared Services on creative needs, production, campaign execution, digital strategy, social media strategy and data purchasing and analysis
  • Develop and execute testing strategy across direct mail, email and digital platforms
  • Expand marketing reach through combination of new products and tactics
  • Research and analyze marketing data and results as needed and present to Senior/Executive Management
  • Work with Product Management team to evaluate existing and untapped consumer needs both within existing and potential products
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the market and competitive landscape
  • Hire, train, manage and coach a team of geographically dispersed and motivated marketing professionals
  • Work closely with Sales to establish a feedback loop on customer sentiment, adjusting by channel or program to meet customer needs
  • Collaborate with Product team on new product development and market tests to support early learnings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration or similar field
  • 7-10 years of marketing experience with a focus on direct mail
  • 3 years as a Senior Product Marketing Manager (internal candidates)
  • 5+ years of progressive management and leadership experience
  • Marketing program management experience, from setting marketing strategy to evaluating results, in a multichannel marketing environment, with a strong focus on direct-to-consumer marketing through traditional direct mail, email and digital platforms
  • Strong record of driving revenue for a product or service brand
  • Excellent team management and organizational skills, with the ability effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Well-rounded marketer with both creative and analytical abilities that can provide input on design and copy but also an understanding of marketing analytics and reporting
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, matrix environment with multiple key-stakeholders
  • Player coach mentality combining the willingness to own specific projects while mentoring and supporting team members.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead a high-performers
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and working collaboratively with senior executives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree (MA/MS) in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration or similar field
  • Experience in educational or travel

Location(s)
• This position follows a hybrid M/F remote and T/W/Th in office unless residing further than 50 miles from any WorldStrides office.
