Job Description:

Job Summary

MPS is seeking a self-motivated PMM who will help to define our new product strategy and execution. This individual will work with IC design, Field & Factory Application Engineers, Sales, and Marketing Communications to ensure the timely and successful launch of new products into the marketplace. Strategic involvement includes product definition, market & competitive analysis, and managing new product design activity. Tactical responsibility includes new product releases, advertising, and marketing collateral. The PMM will be involved in all inquiries for MPS products from sales, applications engineers and customers via telephone or electronic communication. Travel up to 30% of the time might be necessary.

This is a highly technical semiconductor product marketing role. Prior experience in semiconductor product marketing, product line management, applications engineering, or a related technical function is required.
Essential Functions

  • New Product Definition

  • New Product Launch

  • Pricing

  • Competitive analysis

  • Customer visits and product promotion

  • Troubleshooting issues and problems

  • Q & A from the field and customers

  • Promotion of the products through advertising, editorials, written articles and other collateral materials

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required

  • 5-10 years' experience in applications engineering (AE or FAE) within an Analog IC Company

  • Power management background is essential

  • Computing background is a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to thrive in an extremely fast-paced, start-up environment

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The target hiring range for this position is $120,000 – $180,000 annually.
