Description

Sentra is the AI Data Readiness platform for enterprises deploying AI at scale. Sentra continuously discovers, classifies, and governs sensitive data across cloud, SaaS, data warehouses, and AI environments - giving security teams complete visibility into what AI systems can access, what they can expose, and where compliance violations exist. Unlike alternatives that copy data to vendor clouds or require customer-managed outpost infrastructure, Sentra provisions ephemeral scanners directly inside the customer's environment, delivering petabyte-scale classification at a fraction of the cost. Trusted by Lyft, SoFi, Munich RE, PennyMac, Glovo, and others.

We’re hiring a Product Marketing Manager who can turn complex technology into clear, differentiated stories that resonate with customers and help our field teams win.

About The Role

We’re hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager who can turn complex technology into clear, differentiated stories that resonate with customers and help our field teams win.

This is a highly visible, hands-on individual contributor role with significant ownership across positioning and messaging, competitive intelligence, product launches, and sales enablement. You’ll work closely with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and the broader Marketing team to shape how we bring our platform and capabilities to market and how we communicate Sentra’s value throughout the buyer journey.

You’ll be comfortable going deep with technical teams, engaging directly with customers and sellers, and turning what you learn into simple, compelling messaging that differentiates Sentra in the market.

Responsibilities

Positioning & Messaging

Help lead and evolve positioning and messaging across Sentra’s platform, products, and key use cases. Translate complex technical capabilities into clear, differentiated customer value and ensure our messaging resonates with both technical and business audiences.

Competitive Intelligence

Scale our competitive intelligence program, including competitive positioning, battlecards, objection handling, and field guidance. Stay close to the market and our sales organization to understand how competitors are positioning, where we win and lose, and what our field teams need to navigate competitive opportunities.

Product Launches & GTM

Lead product launches and key GTM initiatives, partnering cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to develop messaging, enablement, launch plans, and execution. Ensure teams understand not only what we’re launching, but why it matters to customers and how to take it to market.

Sales Enablement

Create the messaging, tools, and training our field teams need to sell effectively. Partner closely with Sales to understand what resonates with buyers, where deals get stuck, and where additional messaging, competitive intelligence, or enablement can improve execution.

Customer & Market Insights

Stay close to customers, prospects, sellers, and the broader market to understand evolving needs, buying drivers, objections, and trends. Bring those insights back into Product, Marketing, and GTM decisions and help ensure the voice of the customer is reflected in our strategy and messaging.

Content & Thought Leadership

Partner with the broader Marketing team and executives to translate Sentra’s point of view into compelling content, campaigns, customer stories, and thought leadership. Help make complex data security and AI challenges understandable and relevant to our target audiences.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of B2B cybersecurity product marketing experience in data, cloud, or enterprise software
  • Demonstrated ownership of positioning and messaging for complex technical products
  • Strong experience in competitive intelligence, sales enablement, and translating market insights into actionable field guidance
  • Proven experience leading product launches and cross-functional GTM programs
  • Ability to understand complex technology and translate it into simple, compelling customer value
  • Strong customer and market orientation, with experience engaging directly with customers, prospects, and sales teams
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across Product, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and executive stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating independently and taking ownership while collaborating closely across teams
  • Able to think strategically while remaining highly hands-on in a fast-moving startup environment
  • Experience in data security, DSPM, DLP, cloud security, AI security, or data governance is a strong plus.

What Success Looks Like

  • Strong, differentiated positioning across Sentra’s key products, capabilities, and use cases
  • Competitive intelligence and tools that help Sales navigate and win active opportunities
  • Well-executed product launches and GTM programs with strong cross-functional alignment
  • Clear and consistent messaging across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success
  • Customer and market insights that meaningfully inform product and GTM decisions
  • Field teams that are better equipped to articulate Sentra’s differentiation and value
  • Content and thought leadership that make complex data security and AI challenges easier for the market to understand

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
