Spectrum's Real Estate Project Manager oversees a diverse portfolio of construction and renovation initiatives, guiding teams and stakeholders through every stage. By ensuring high standards and successful delivery, you will directly influence the functionality and future of our facilities.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Lead projects from initial planning to implementation, managing operational details and securing stakeholder alignment
  • Apply project management methodologies to deliver projects on schedule, within budget and in line with Spectrum's quality standards
  • Communicate updates to internal customers, collect feedback and report on project progress
  • Oversee data collection, cost tracking, performance metrics and service levels to meet project objectives
  • Provide subject matter expertise for structural, electrical and mechanical issues, supporting other real estate functions such as facility management and strategic planning
  • Develop strategic approaches to contracted workforces, manage budgets and capital development, and serve as the central interface for translating planning requests into engineering objectives
  • Write funding documents, manage accounting codes, supervise vendors and consultants, enforce contract terms and oversee zoning and permitting processes
  • Serve as the escalation point for warranty issues and support continuous improvement across all assigned projects

Working Conditions
  • Office-based with occasional travel
  • Availability required during all construction hours, including nights and weekends for on-site presence as necessary

What You'll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management or related field

Experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience

Skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English with employees, customers and suppliers in person, on the phone and in writing
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Effective performance in fast-paced environments
  • Data analysis and interpretation
  • Project management expertise in design, construction and contract management

  • Ability to interpret design plans and specifications
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and structural systems
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Project; familiarity with AutoCAD desirable and has the ability to learn proprietary software programs
  • Understanding of construction means and methods
  • Capability to manage simultaneous complex, multi-million dollar projects

Preferred Qualifications
Education
  • Project Management certification or completion of a recognized project management curriculum preferred

Skills
  • Knowledge of building codes
  • Administrative and technical skills, including interpreting industry environmental standards for telecommunications and electronic data systems
  • Understanding of construction cost estimating, life cycle costing and value engineering in design and construction phases
  • Familiarity with site work retention, grading, drainage and zoning/site acceptability
