Summary:

The Senior Director, Operations & Implementation (ruralMED) serves as a strategic and operational executive team, translating business priorities into coordinated execution across the line of business. This role strengthens alignment across Sales, Implementation, Client Success, and internal operating teams while providing structure, accountability, and follow-through around key initiatives. The Senior Director supports growth and client success by leading and advising clients, networks, and operational teams. The role requires strong business acumen, executive presence, project leadership, client relationship management, and the ability to influence and drive results across multiple teams and stakeholders without direct authority.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a strategic and operational partner to the executive team supporting key business priorities and initiatives.

  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, timelines, ownership, and measurable outcomes while facilitating alignment across leadership and key internal & external partners.

  • Identify emerging risks, issues, and dependencies and provide analyses, recommendations, and updates to support clients, networks, and leadership decision-making.

  • Prepare analyses, updates, recommendations, and materials that support leadership discussions and decision-making.

  • Lead complex projects for new and existing clients, including project plans, milestones, deliverables, risks, and accountabilities.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution and continuity from sales through implementation, stabilization, and transition to ongoing account management.

  • Lead client network status meetings, progress updates, issue resolution, and escalation of significant implementation risks.

  • Identify opportunities to improve services, tools, workflows, and handoffs and develop scalable practices that improve the current and future offerings.

  • Support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts within the business line, using implementation and performance data to identify risks and improvement opportunities.

Work Experience, Education, and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, or related field required.

  • Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in healthcare operations, supply chain, consulting, client implementation, project management, or related field.

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional projects or client implementations.

  • Experience working with hospital or health system leaders.
