About the Role

Title: Senior Enterprise Sourcing Specialist

Reports to: Director of Enterprise Sourcing

Location: Remote (must reside in one of CharterUP's approved states — see below)

CharterUP is seeking a data-driven, execution-focused Senior Enterprise Sourcing Specialist to support the design, sourcing, and costing of transportation solutions for some of our largest and most complex Enterprise opportunities.

Enterprise Sourcing serves as the procurement and supply strategy function supporting CharterUP’s Enterprise business. The team partners closely with Sales and Operations to understand customer requirements, assess operational feasibility, develop sourcing strategies, identify the right operator partners, and build accurate and competitive program costs.

This role goes well beyond collecting quotes. Enterprise opportunities can vary significantly in size, geography, complexity, and operating requirements. The Senior Enterprise Sourcing Specialist must be able to understand the full scope of an opportunity, identify potential challenges, evaluate different supply solutions, and make sound recommendations that balance cost, operational capability, service quality, and risk.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and commercial skills with operational thinking, negotiation ability, and relationship-building. Transportation or mobility experience is strongly preferred, but candidates with relevant strategic sourcing or procurement experience in complex service environments may also be successful.

What You’ll Do

  • Own sourcing for complex Enterprise opportunities across recurring shuttle programs, major events, transit programs, and other large-scale or time-sensitive transportation engagements.
  • Understand and evaluate transportation scopes to determine operational requirements, sourcing needs, potential constraints, and overall feasibility.
  • Develop accurate and comprehensive program cost models based on the full operational scope and requirements of each opportunity.
  • Develop sourcing strategies for complex opportunities, identifying solutions that balance cost, operational feasibility, service quality, capacity, and client requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate transportation operators based on pricing, geography, capabilities, capacity, service history, scalability, and overall fit for the opportunity.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with operator partners to secure competitive pricing and terms while protecting CharterUP’s operational and service requirements.
  • Solve complex supply challenges where traditional sourcing approaches may not be sufficient, using strong judgment and creative problem-solving to develop executable solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong operator relationships that strengthen CharterUP’s access to high-quality transportation supply and support long-term Enterprise growth.
  • Partner closely with Enterprise Sales throughout the sales and RFP process, providing sourcing strategy, program costs, feasibility assessments, market intelligence, and other inputs needed to develop competitive proposals.
  • Partner with Enterprise Operations to ensure effective handoffs when opportunities convert into active programs, clearly communicating operator commitments, pricing, assumptions, risks, and key requirements.
  • Support significant operator or commercial escalations after launch when additional sourcing expertise or operator relationship support is needed.
  • Maintain accurate sourcing, pricing, operator, and opportunity information within CharterUP’s systems and ensure sourcing activity is well documented.
  • Use data and market intelligence to improve sourcing effectiveness, turnaround time, cost competitiveness, operator selection, and capacity coverage.
  • Identify emerging supply needs, market constraints, and opportunities to strengthen CharterUP’s transportation network as the Enterprise business continues to grow.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in transportation, mobility, logistics, strategic sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or another relevant operational environment.
  • Transportation industry experience is strongly preferred, particularly within passenger transportation, shuttle, transit, motorcoach, mobility, or other complex transportation operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex business or operational requirements and translate them into sourcing strategies and accurate cost models.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including advanced proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets and comfort working with pricing, operational, and market data.
  • Strong commercial judgment and negotiation skills with experience negotiating pricing, terms, or service agreements with suppliers or vendors.
  • Ability to evaluate suppliers based on a combination of cost, capability, quality, capacity, and operational fit rather than price alone.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and confidence working directly with operator partners, business owners, and senior leaders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative solutions when traditional sourcing options are limited.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to independently manage multiple sourcing opportunities with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment where scopes may evolve, information may be incomplete, and timelines may be compressed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate costs, assumptions, risks, and recommendations across Sales, Operations, and leadership.
  • High degree of ownership, urgency, judgment, and attention to detail.

Travel

  • Occasional travel to client locations to assist in project launches and operations.
  • Occasional travel for team onsite meetings.
  • Estimated Travel: 5%-10%

Travel needs may change based on company needs.
