Industry Solutions Delivery (ISD) is Microsoft’s global delivery organisation within Frontier, responsible for helping customers translate AI ambition into practical, scalable solutions through tailored migration, deployment, and end-to-end delivery services.

 The Frontier Finance team operates as a trusted partner to Frontier leadership, building the financial operating system for this new business, proving the economics of the Frontier model, and enabling disciplined scaling through rigorous planning, actionable insights, and strong controllership.

As the ISD CCCV (Commercial Cloud Contract Value) Controller on the Frontier Finance team, you will support the GTM Finance rhythm of business and provide CCCV business health, deal analytics, forecast, and performance insights to senior finance and business partners. This opportunity will allow you to develop deep business acumen in a new, strategically important Microsoft business, strengthen your understanding of AI transformation and services economics, and use data, automation, and financial modelling to drive better decisions.

This Senior Finance Manager role will report to the Director of Go-To Market Finance – Microsoft Frontier Finance, and be a key part of the team contributing to making critical decisions to drive business impact with business partners in a dynamic and stimulating environment.


Responsibilities
  • Manage business health for ISD CCCV and related revenue performance as part of the memo for Field Revenue Accountability and rhythm of business processes across monthly close, quarterly forecasting, and budgeting cycles.
  • Prepare recurring financial reporting, forecasts, business reviews, variance analysis, and leadership presentations that highlight risks, opportunities, and actions required to improve performance.
  • Steer deal analytics for pricing strategy, discounts, margins, CCCV quality, and ROI in partnership with Deal Desk, GTM, sales, delivery, and finance stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with Frontier sales and delivery business teams to build robust insights, reporting, and key metrics that track CCCV, pipeline conversion and broader business health. Closely partners with area finance controllers, sales strategy teams and consumption leads
  • Assist in the execution of annual business planning and forecast processes, including analysis, modelling, research, and stakeholder input to support preliminary and adjusted forecast cycles.
  • Answer business partner questions on reporting and analysis, contribute insights on financial plans, long-range planning, variance drivers, and operational performance, and apply foundational Microsoft Finance principles to collect information, perform analysis, and improve reporting.
  • Use business intelligence, artificial intelligence, statistical analysis, predictive analytics, and financial modelling techniques to improve data collection, automate repeatable work, and communicate clear, actionable results.
  • Drive initiatives that align finance processes, performance measures, and business strategy across Frontier Finance, broader MCAPS finance teams, and relevant corporate or field communities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and reporting requirements by reviewing the accuracy of financial documents, business processes, and supporting documentation, and by helping partners understand policies and requirements.

Qualifications
Required / Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 5+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field
  • Experience using financial, operational, and business data to support analysis, reporting, forecasting, or decision making.
  • Ability to partner across finance and business stakeholders, manage ambiguity, and communicate insights clearly and concisely.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration
  • 5+ years work experience in the technology or software industry
  • 5+ years’ experience working in a matrixed organization and partnering with field, corporate, sales, delivery, or operations stakeholders.
  • 5+ years’ experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
  • Experience with business health, rhythm of business, forecasting, budgeting, deal analytics, pricing, margin, revenue, consumption, or controllership processes.
  • Technology, software, professional services, consulting, AI, cloud, or enterprise transformation experience is a strong plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Finance processes, Power BI, Excel, automation, AI-enabled analytics, or financial modelling is preferred.

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000 - $206,400 per year.
