Job Summary

The Insider Threat Investigator will contribute to the development, execution, and continuous improvement of Jabil’s global Insider Threat Program. The investigator will identify, assess, investigate, and help mitigate insider risks that could affect Jabil’s people, intellectual property, sensitive information, facilities, technology, operations, and reputation. This role requires a practical, prevention-focused approach that combines investigative skill, risk analysis, and sound business judgment. The investigator will work across a global manufacturing environment and collaborate with Security, Cybersecurity, Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, and business leaders while protecting confidentiality, employee privacy, and investigative integrity.

Job Description

The Insider Threat Investigator will receive and evaluate indicators of potential insider risk, conduct preliminary inquiries and assigned investigations, preserve evidence, and develop objective findings and recommendations. Matters may involve intellectual property or trade secret theft, unauthorized disclosure, fraud, misuse of systems or data, cybersecurity incidents, conflicts of interest, foreign influence or elicitation concerns, and other conduct that may create material risk to the company.

The investigator will gather and analyze information from authorized sources; review relevant security, human resources, compliance, and business records; conduct or support interviews; preserve evidence; identify information gaps; and maintain accurate and defensible case documentation. The investigator will work closely with cybersecurity and digital forensics analysts to obtain, interpret, and preserve technical evidence from SIEM and SOAR platforms, endpoint and network security tools, access-control systems, audit logs, authentication records, and other authorized sources.

The role will distinguish anomalous activity from legitimate business conduct by considering the employee’s role, access, relevant context, potential risk indicators, and corroborating information. The position will conduct and support risk assessments involving personnel, facilities, information systems, data, supply chains, third parties, and operations. The investigator will help determine scope and potential impact, develop proportionate mitigation options, monitor corrective actions, and prepare reports, case summaries, trend analyses, metrics, and briefings for program leadership and appropriate stakeholders.

The investigator will coordinate with relevant internal functions and may support engagement with law enforcement, government agencies, outside counsel, or other external partners when directed. All work must comply with applicable law, privacy requirements, records-handling standards, and strict need-to-know controls.

The role will also contribute to program development through research, policy and procedure updates, reporting pathways, awareness and training materials, case-management practices, exercises, audit and compliance responses, and lessons learned. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required for investigations, site reviews, training, audits, and stakeholder engagement.

Education/Experience Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security management, intelligence studies, risk management, cybersecurity, business, law, or related field is preferred. The candidate should have relevant experience in corporate security, insider threat or insider risk, investigations, intelligence, national security, risk management, cybersecurity, law enforcement, compliance, audit, fraud, or a closely related discipline.

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong investigative, analytical, critical-thinking, interviewing, report-writing, and risk-assessment skills. Familiarity with both physical security and cybersecurity principles is required, along with the ability to collaborate with cybersecurity and digital forensics professionals and interpret technical evidence relevant to an investigation. The candidate must be highly organized, able to manage multiple sensitive matters, exercise discretion and sound judgment, and maintain complete, accurate, and secure case files.

Desired experience includes working with legal departments and law enforcement, participating in multidisciplinary investigative teams, responding to audit or compliance requirements, and handling confidential, proprietary, restricted, or classified information is preferred. Experience protecting intellectual property, trade secrets, engineering data, customer or employee information, manufacturing processes, or other high-value assets in a global manufacturing, technology, supply-chain, defense, or similarly complex environment is highly desirable. Relevant certifications or professional training in investigations, fraud, security, cybersecurity, intelligence, risk, compliance, or project management are valued.

The pay range for this role is $79,400 - $142,900. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity. The anticipated close date of this job requisition is: December 04, 2026.

As part of the total rewards package, this position is eligible for a short-term incentive based on performance. In addition, Jabil offers benefits to enhance your health, wealth, and resilient self. These include medical, dental, and vision insurance plans; paid time off accruing at a rate of 3.07 hours during your first year of employment; 4 weeks of paid parental leave; in 2027, 11 company-paid holidays (9 fixed holidays and 2 optional floating holidays), subject to change yearly; 401(k) retirement plan; and employee stock purchase plan.
