SUMMARY

The Senior Manager, Partner Marketing AMER is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining and driving the "with, to, and through" partner marketing strategy across the US and Canada. This role is responsible for leading a team of Partner Marketing Managers to deliver measurable pipeline growth through our ecosystem of Distributors, National Resellers, Global System Integrators, and Service partners. The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader who can bridge the gap between high-level corporate strategy and regional execution, while building the operational infrastructure to scale—including the management of a distribution model as that evolves.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Regional Strategy & Leadership: Define the annual and quarterly partner marketing strategy for the AMER region, ensuring alignment with Nationals and Regional Partner Sales leadership and Global Revenue Marketing objectives. Collaborate with Partner Marketing lead on GSI strategy in the AMER region.
  • People Management: Lead, coach, and develop a team of Regional Partner Marketing Managers, ensuring high-quality "Executive Ready" deliverables, strategic overlay and execution across the team.
  • Distribution Management: Serve as the primary architect and manager for the distribution model (upon introduction), overseeing distributor marketing strategy, performance, MDF allocation, and ROI.
  • GTM Alignment: Partner closely with AMER Partner Sales and Field Marketing to ensure partner programs and campaigns are directly contributing to regional pipeline targets and KPIs.
  • Budget & Resource Allocation: Oversee the AMER partner marketing budget, ensuring strategic investment across Premier partners, regions and maintaining strict accountability for spend and accruals in collaboration with the DIrector, Partner Marketing.
  • Executive Communication:  Act as the primary point of contact for AMER partner marketing, ensuring leadership visibility into regional strategy, budget management, and the sourced pipeline impact across our AMER Partner ecosystem.
  • Operational Excellence: Standardize campaigns and event playbooks across the region to ensure a consistent, sophisticated "Wiz" brand experience for all partners.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8–12 years of experience in partner/channel marketing, with at least 3+ years in a people management role.
  • Proven track record of managing marketing through Distributors, National Resellers and Global System Integrators.
  • Prior experience managing or launching a 2-tier distribution marketing model is highly preferred.
  • Deep expertise in the B2B SaaS/Enterprise technology landscape; Cybersecurity or Cloud security background is a bonus.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strategic Architect: Ability to turn complex business goals into actionable marketing blueprints for a regional team.
  • Leadership & Coaching: Demonstrated ability to up-level a team’s "Executive Readiness" and strategic thinking.
  • Analytical Rigor: Proficiency in Salesforce, Looker, and marketing automation to track full-funnel partner impact.
  • Conflict Resolution: Ability to manage the "noise" and competing priorities between Sales, Partners, and Corporate stakeholders.
  • Operational Scaling: Experience building processes that allow a marketing function to stay "lock-step" with rapid sales growth.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
