The Sr. Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing local marketing activities with a strong focus on leading and supporting pursuits that drive new business. This includes creating high-quality proposals, presentations, branded materials, public relations content, and other key marketing deliverables that help position the company competitively. In this role, you will ensure that all materials produced and shared internally or externally reflect the highest level of quality, alignment, and differentiation in the marketplace. The ideal candidate is able to handle work that requires rapid turnaround times and strict deadlines, while maintaining accuracy, organization, and attention to detail. In addition, this person will mentor marketing assistant(s) / marketing specialist(s) as necessary.

As a Senior Marketing Specialist you will serve in the following areas:

Pursuit Management

    • Manage the full pursuit process including proposals, RFP responses, qualifications packages, and interview presentations.
    • Write compelling custom content, develop visuals/infographics, and design assets such as resumes, project sheets, and custom proposal pages.
    • Coach Operations teams on interview messaging and structure. Conduct post interview debriefs and prepare follow up materials.

Project Marketing

    • Coordinate all project marketing efforts including custom jobsite signage, ordering swag / logowear, client gifts, project photography and videography, and other promotional assets.
    • Coordinate with third party vendors to schedule professional photography and videography.
    • Develop case studies to market the company’s project portfolio through written content and visuals.

CRM and Data Management

    • Data entry into CRM to support pursuits, resumes/teams, and client information.
    • Support bid and resource reporting along with related meetings.
    • Assist with client survey processes.

Public Relations

    • Draft and submit press releases, award submissions, and people on the move announcements.
    • Track media coverage and support companywide PR efforts

Branding

    • Support the development of branded materials, following companywide brand standards.

Events and Client Engagement

    • Assist with planning and executing internal and external events such as sponsorships, client gatherings, networking events, and recruiting activities.
    • Coordinate vendors and create supporting presentation materials.
    • Represent Skyline at company and industry hosted events.

Content Development

    • Brainstorm and develop content with the Marketing Manager and national Branding team.
    • Produce written content for biographies, project stories, website updates, social media, and internal messaging.

Marketing Strategy and Collaboration

    • Participate in the annual marketing planning process.
    • Stay current on industry trends and share new ideas to elevate marketing initiatives.
    • Collaborate with regional and companywide marketing teams to coordinate workload and maintain brand alignment.

The successful candidate will possess:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
    • At least 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in commercial construction, commercial interiors, architecture, engineering, real estate, or related professional services industries.
    • Demonstrated experience managing proposals, RFQs, and RFP responses.
    • Experience supporting business development and client pursuit activities while working with technical staff.
    • Strong writing and editing abilities through demonstrated content creation and custom proposal content.
    • Strong graphic design skills used to articulate technical concepts in creative ways through visual communication.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
    • Demonstrated ability to use AI throughout the pursuit process, content creation and to create efficiencies in everyday tasks.
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe InDesign, Photoshop & Canva, CRM platforms
    • Experience coordinating photography and videography vendor relationships.
    • Proactively shares ideas and suggests new initiatives
    • Discreet and able to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects at any given time
    • Strong work ethic in a highly demanding environment
    • Critical thinking and good judgment to make decisions
