Strategic Leadership:Present program metrics to senior leadership and provide guidance on major pursuits. Operational Excellence: Drive "left shift" activities to support IBP growth, support zero defects initiatives, promote continuous improvement activities.
Team Development: Mentor high-potential OPMs and foster a diverse, inclusive, and supportive work environment.
Problem Resolution: Provide escalated support across Manufacturing and Supply Chain to resolve critical issues.
Leadership Expectations
Expertise & Innovation: Apply advanced operational concepts to solve complex problems and establish precedents for future decisions.
Strategic Influence: Serve as a consultant to top management for long-range planning and act as a primary Operations spokesperson.
Accountability: Independently resolve high-impact issues that affect the organization's financial and reputational posture.
Direct Staff (OPM) Responsibilities
Planning & Analysis: Oversee S&OP, factory capacity/demand, and make/buy analyses.
Program Execution: Lead project scheduling, proposal preparation, and risk/opportunity planning.
Cross-Functional Integration: Act as the primary Operations liaison to the Program Office; drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and delivery.
Performance Management: Monitor baseline program performance and implement lean manufacturing/supply chain initiatives.
Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams in borderless environments to ensure all program milestones are achieved.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree and 5 years work experience or equivalent experience in Operations or Project/Program Management.
- 5 years of direct people management experience.
- Knowledge and/or experience with AS9145/APQP is preferred, but also not required.
- Strong diplomatic, communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Able to multitask effectively with agility.
- Ability to manage and report status of projects within a project management discipline.
- Ability to lead in a cross-functional team environment, with a customer-focused approach, and an aptitude for continuous improvement in serving internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated success in implementing lean manufacturing and supply chain initiatives.
- Record of success in supporting increasing demand while continuing to meet key performance indicators.
- Ability to provide strategic contributions while successfully executing on tactical objectives.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- Proficiency in office technologies including MS Word, Excel, Access, Project, PowerPoint; Visio.
- Proficiency with continuous process improvement methodologies and tool; strong group facilitation skills.
- Working knowledge of MRP systems.
- Prior experience in a military/defense based manufacturing environment.
