Partner with the best

As a Senior Product Manager for Core Compute, define and guide product strategy for Akamai's compute offerings. Connect technical hardware layers with developer experiences, ensuring compute instances provide exceptional value compared to traditional cloud providers. Oversee the compute lifecycle, including hardware assessments and features within the cloud platform's virtualization layer.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Gathering, documenting, and communicating business and technical requirements.
  • Defining and executing the product strategy, roadmap and deliver against the product plan.
  • Fostering connections with cross-functional teams, such as sales and marketing, to promote products and gather feedback for ongoing success.
  • Analyzing operational metrics and trends to manage and maximize product KPIs, revenue and profitability, building business cases and margin analysis.
  • Becoming the trusted expert in alternative cloud infrastructure trends, bare-metal innovations, and the comparative market landscape.
  • Synthesizing feedback and prioritizing development.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 12 years of experience with product management or product development within cloud, virtualization, server infrastructure, or it's equivalent.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise in virtualization concepts, multi-tenant cloud architectures, hypervisors, and CPU/IO hardware architectures.
  • Demonstrate an ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence hardware engineering, and software development stakeholders.
  • Have familiarity with infrastructure-as-code ecosystems, cloud capacity lifecycle management, and Linux systems architecture.
  • Demonstrate an outstanding ability to understand, define, and communicate the business and technical value of deeply technical cloud primitives.
  • Possess deep relationship-building skills and experience collaborating with customers and technology partners.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $139,300 - $250,700/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.
