Job Description:

At Remitly, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to access, move, and manage their money wherever life takes them. Since 2011, we've tirelessly delivered on our promise to customers sending money globally, providing secure, simple, and reliable ways to manage their money, ensuring true peace of mind. Whether it's supporting loved ones back home, growing a business across continents, or pursuing new opportunities abroad, we're not just here to move money— we're here to move our global customers forward.
We're looking for builders, reimaginers, and global thinkers who want to work at the intersection of technology, trust, and transformation. If that’s you and you're ready to do the most meaningful work of your career—we invite you to join over 2,800 passionate Remitlians worldwide who are united by our vision to transform lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Director, Product – AI Customer Experiences, you will be the owner of every self-service and assisted-service surface at Remitly—from our in-app Help Center and web FAQs to voice, WhatsApp, SMS, and any future channels. Your mission: deflect contacts by delighting customers, reducing cost-to-serve while lifting CSAT, retention, and lifetime value.

You Will:

  • Define product vision, OKRs, and a multi-year roadmap for net-new consumer experiences across the remittance journey, with a clear 0→1→10→100 build strategy.
  •  Lead cross-functional squads (Engineering, Design, Data, Operations, Compliance, and Marketing) to design, ship, and operate end-to-end features—from MVP to early scale.
  •  Design, analyze, and optimize growth loops and retention models across app and messaging surfaces (in-app, WhatsApp, SMS, push), applying AI where it drives measurable value.
  •  Instrument experiments (A/B, geo/holdouts) and telemetry to prove impact on acquisition, activation, conversion, repeat rate, cost-to-serve, CSAT, and LTV.
  •  Mine customer feedback, contact-reason analytics, corridor research, and market trends to size opportunities, craft positioning, and create detailed PRDs and GTM plans.
  •  Promote best practices in consumer product building, conversational UX, and responsible/agentic AI across Remitly, mentoring junior PMs in the process.

You Have:

  •  7+ years of product management experience with a proven track record of taking products 0→1 and scaling through 1→10 and 10→100 (features, corridors, or KPIs) in consumer domains; fintech/payments/remittances a plus.
  •  Experience owning PMF and go-to-market: customer discovery and market research, segmentation and positioning, launch planning, lifecycle marketing, and post-launch iteration.
  •  Fluency in LLMs, dialog management, and support measurements (deflection %,) with a strong bias toward protecting trust, retention, and revenue.
  •  Comfort marrying qualitative insight with SQL-level quantitative analysis; you tell the story behind funnels, cohorts, and LTV/CAC.
  •  Bias for rapid, iterative delivery in Agile/Lean environments; hands-on writing PRDs, prototyping, prioritizing, and shipping.
  •  Experience scaling multi-modal and messaging interfaces (voice, chat, WhatsApp, SMS, push) and new “surfaceless” paradigms (RCS, embedded SDKs).
  •  Multilingual market exposure, localization experience, and understanding of regional customer needs.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $150,000 - $190,000. Your recruiter can share more information about medical benefits offered, as well as other financial benefits and total compensation components offered with this role. #LI-Hybrid

And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
