About the Role:
Reporting to the GM of Product, this role combines strategic product leadership with end-to-end ownership of Remitly's AI-powered conversational experiences. You'll define the product vision and own the outcomes—scaling existing experiences such as chat-based send flows and the Remitly app on ChatGPT, while launching new 0-to-1 experiences, including integrations with platforms like Claude. Your goal is to drive revenue, retention, and wallet share by making remittances faster, more personalized, and more intuitive. As Senior Product Manager for Conversational Experiences, you'll have ownership across product strategy, business outcomes, and go-to-market. You'll lead cross-functional teams spanning product, engineering, design, marketing, risk, and operations, using a product-led growth (PLG) approach to improve discovery, onboarding, activation, engagement, and expansion. In close partnership with engineering, you'll build on Remitly's Scout platform, leveraging LLMs, contextual agents, and multimodal experiences to create seamless and scalable customer journeys across Remitly and emerging AI surfaces. This is a high-autonomy role for a product leader excited to build and scale a new business line at the intersection of AI, conversational commerce, and global fintech.
You Will:
- Set the vision and OKRs for conversational customer experiences, driving measurable improvements in send conversion, retention, CSAT, and cost-to-serve.
- Own and sequence the product roadmap, leveraging platform capabilities—including orchestration, agents, ML models, and multi-channel infrastructure—to rapidly launch and scale new remittance journeys.
- Balance transformative and exploratory bets, prioritizing “10x” opportunities alongside 0-to-1 experiences that unlock new customer and business value.
- Define success metrics, experimentation frameworks, and telemetry to validate product-market fit, customer value, and growth hypotheses.
- Build and optimize product-led growth funnels across acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and expansion through experimentation and in-product experiences.
- Develop a deep understanding of immigrant customers' jobs-to-be-done through qualitative and quantitative research, journey analytics, and in-market testing.
- Own go-to-market strategy in partnership with Marketing, Growth, and Customer Success, measuring impact through experimentation, funnel analysis, and AI/LLM quality metrics.
- Partner with regional Growth and Marketing teams to develop experiences and creative strategies that resonate across local corridors and communities.
- Represent the product with senior leadership, shaping company-wide priorities and championing best practices for building and scaling AI-powered customer experiences.
You Have:
- 5+ years of product management experience building and scaling consumer-facing digital products, with a track record of owning customer experiences end to end—from strategy and launch through iteration and measurable outcomes.
- Strong data and experimentation fluency, including hypothesis development, A/B testing, funnel analysis, and the ability to independently derive insights from data.
- Experience building AI-powered or conversational experiences, with working knowledge of LLMs, agentic systems, dialog management, and relevant quality and customer metrics.
- Strong customer intuition, combining qualitative research, quantitative analysis, and an understanding of how customer needs and behaviors vary across markets and communities.
- Demonstrated cross-functional leadership, with the ability to influence and align engineering, design, marketing, operations, and other partners without direct authority.
- Excellent written and executive communication, with the judgment to distill complexity and communicate what matters to senior audiences.
- Bias for action and rapid iteration, with experience shipping, learning, and adapting quickly in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Experience with emerging and multimodal interfaces—such as chat, voice, vision, RCS, embedded experiences, or third-party AI platforms—is a plus.
