What We Need

We’re seeking a Senior Product Manager, RCM Strategy to own and advance the future-state product strategy for Revenue Cycle Management across the order lifecycle. As Synapse continues to scale, RCM represents a complex and financially critical area of the business. This role will provide dedicated Product leadership to understand current-state challenges, identify opportunities to improve workflows, and design scalable solutions that support continued growth, improve operational performance, and reduce financial and administrative friction.

This role combines strategic discovery and product execution. You will develop product points of view and translate complex financial, operational, and user needs into a clear product strategy and roadmap. You’ll partner closely with Engineering, Data, Operations, RCM Operations, Finance, and leadership to shape the roadmap, make thoughtful tradeoffs, and drive products from problem identification through delivery and iteration.

This is an individual contributor role with high visibility and strategic importance as Synapse continues to expand. Success requires the ability to operate independently in ambiguity while connecting near-term product execution to longer-term scalability.

What You Will Do

RCM Strategy & Future-State Design

  • Develop and articulate a future-state product strategy for RCM across the order lifecycle, identifying opportunities to simplify processes, reduce financial and operational friction, and enable scalable growth.
  • Lead deep discovery across RCM workflows, systems, data flows, and user experiences to identify root causes, unmet needs, scalability constraints, and opportunities for product innovation.
  • Develop clear product points of view and recommendations for future-state capabilities, balancing business impact, user needs, technical considerations, and operational feasibility.
  • Identify opportunities to connect, simplify, or modernize fragmented RCM capabilities, workflows, integrations, and data flows.
  • Partner with senior leaders to align on product direction, investment priorities, sequencing, and key tradeoffs.

Business & Financial Impact

  • Partner with RCM Operations, Finance, Data, and business leaders to understand and quantify the financial and operational impact of current-state processes, product gaps, and manual work.
  • Evaluate opportunities based on measurable business outcomes, including scalability, efficiency, quality, revenue cycle performance, and cost to serve.
  • Translate complex financial, operational, and business problems into clear product strategies, requirements, and scalable solutions.
  • Use data, user insights, and business context to build compelling product recommendations and support investment decisions.

Product Roadmap & Execution

  • Define and evolve the RCM product roadmap, prioritizing capabilities and solutions based on business impact, scalability, user needs, technical considerations, and the future-state product strategy.
  • Lead product execution from discovery and requirements through delivery, adoption, measurement, and iteration.
  • Manage the product backlog, lead grooming sessions, and drive sprint planning and execution with a dedicated engineering team.
  • Use a data-informed approach to define success metrics, monitor product performance, and iterate accordingly.
  • Balance near-term business needs with longer-term product scalability and maintainability.

Product Leadership

  • Build strong partnerships across RCM Operations, Operations, Engineering, Data, Finance, and senior leadership to align stakeholders around product direction and outcomes.
  • Influence decisions and advocate for a clear product point of view across technical, operational, financial, and senior leadership audiences.
  • Bring structure and clarity to ambiguous, cross-functional problems and drive alignment on priorities and tradeoffs.
  • Lead adoption and change planning for new capabilities, processes, and product solutions.
  • Contribute to a strong product culture through insights, best practices, and lessons learned.

Continuous Improvement

  • Bring structure and clarity to ambiguous problems by leading discovery and user research efforts.
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies or manual workarounds in internal workflows and propose scalable solutions.
  • Contribute to our growing product culture by sharing insights, best practices, and lessons learned across the team.

What You Have

At Synapse Health we’ve intentionally built a culture of kindness, collaboration and creativity, and we consider those qualities to be table stakes for any new team member. Additional requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in product management, with demonstrated ownership of complex products or product areas from discovery through delivery and iteration.
  • Experience working with revenue cycle management, healthcare finance, financial operations, or similarly complex transaction- and workflow-driven environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a scrum team and driving product execution from idea to delivery.
  • Proven ability to translate complex operational and business problems into clear product strategies, requirements, and scalable solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data, metrics, and customer or user insights to prioritize opportunities and inform product decisions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions and advocate for a point of view across technical, operational, and senior leadership audiences.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity, making thoughtful tradeoffs, and balancing immediate business needs with longer-term scalability.
  • A collaborative mindset and strong ownership mentality, with the ability to independently drive work while bringing cross-functional partners along.

What Sets You Apart

  • Experience building or optimizing revenue cycle management products, healthcare financial workflows, billing or claims solutions, or adjacent financial technology.
  • Familiarity with DME, healthcare operations, reimbursement workflows, claims, billing, or other healthcare financial processes.
  • Experience building internal tools or workflow products that support complex, high-volume operational teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and simplify fragmented, manual, or inefficient processes through scalable product solutions.
  • Experience working with complex integrations, data flows, or systems that span multiple stages of an operational or financial lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and initiative; you proactively identify opportunities and develop solutions rather than waiting for problems to be defined for you.
  • Knowledge or experience leveraging artificial intelligence or automation to improve workflows, process documentation, or extract meaningful data and insights.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $152,000–$182,400+ annually. This range reflects the anticipated compensation at the time of posting. Final compensation will be based on factors such as relevant experience, demonstrated skills, internal equity, and prevailing market conditions. Compensation discussions are encouraged throughout the hiring process.

And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
