PetPlace, a subsidiary of IPH now Doubtless, is building a digital first pet e-commerce platform with the aim of connecting key market services such as adoption, lost pet and insurance to make pet care easy.

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to champion our internal support tool. You'll help design, develop, maintain, and support technical infrastructure that includes network, hardware, database, and/or system software components.

Day to Day tasks: 

  • Conducts analysis of business problems and leads the evaluation, development, and recommendation of specific technology products and platforms.

  • Provides cost-effective solutions that meet business and technology requirements.

  • Research and design best fit infrastructure, network, database, and/or security architectures.

  • Guides configuration, debugging, and support for infrastructure and ensures quality and change control standards are met.

  • Addresses gaps with existing support processes, documentation, etc.

  • Monitors system performance and troubleshoots issues.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Level Specific Responsibilities: 

  • Leads the design and implementation of computer systems and software to meet the needs of the organization.

  • Monitors system performance and troubleshoots complex issues, including those involving multiple systems and/or applications.

  • Develops and implements disaster recovery plans and procedures for complex environments.

  • Leads the implementation and maintenance of security measures.

  • Leads the design and implementation of complex network infrastructures.

  • Develops and implements policies and procedures related to system administration.

  • Acts as a technical leader and mentor to junior engineers.

Accountability/Complexity:

  • May manage projects requiring the responsibility of delegating work and reviewing resulting work product.

  • May be responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within job area.

  • May function as a team lead and assistant to the supervisor/manager.
