Design, build, and ship production software for real-time supply chain systems: APIs, data pipelines, and AI-powered tools. Solve scalability, performance, and data integration challenges, collaborate with engineers and data scientists, own projects end-to-end, and participate in on-call rotations at the Bellevue HQ.
Build at Auger
What You'll Do
What You Bring
Auger is the autonomous operating system for supply chains — the layer that finally allows disparate systems like ERP, WMS, and TMS to work together instead of against each other.
Most supply chain software surfaces problems and waits for a human to act. Auger solves them. Our AI detects disruptions, evaluates trade-offs, and executes decisions automatically — moving from signal to action in seconds, not weeks. We eliminate the Coordination Tax: the billions in capital and time lost when disconnected systems force the best people in the business to become the Human API between planning and execution.
At Auger, we design autonomy into our systems. We expect the same from our people.
That means:
- Clear ownership, not decision by consensus
- First principles over inherited patterns
- Shipping systems, not slide decks
- Fast feedback from reality, not opinions
If you want to build, ship, and iterate against reality, Auger is for you.
Auger was founded by Dave Clark and is backed by $150M from Oak HC/FT and Eclipse Capital. Our team works from Bellevue, WA and Dallas, TX.
About the RoleAt Auger, we’re looking for passionate Software Development Engineers who are eager to design and develop innovative solutions at-scale. This is your chance to work on cutting-edge projects that blend data, AI, and real-time systems to transform global supply chains. As an SDE at Auger, you’ll work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry, learning and contributing to mission-critical systems. Whether you’re designing APIs, optimizing data flows, or implementing new features, your work will have a direct and meaningful impact on businesses worldwide. We’re not just looking for coders; we’re looking for builders—creative problem-solvers who thrive on tackling complex challenges. This is a chance to grow, learn, and make your mark on a product that’s reshaping an industry.
- Design and build software components that power Auger's supply chain solutions, including real-time data pipelines, APIs, and AI-powered tools.
- Solve real technical challenges in scalability, performance, and data integration, from optimizing logistics algorithms to improving platform responsiveness.
- Work closely with engineers, data scientists, and product managers to ship solutions that hold up beyond the first customer.
- Own your projects end to end, gaining hands-on exposure to cloud computing, AI, and modern software practices along the way.
- Ship work that matters. Your code runs in production, powering decisions for global businesses in the world of logistics and beyond.
We need team members who are ready and willing to take on a variety of challenges and bring an abiding curiosity about the “what’s” and “why’s” of the data and technology. You’ll thrive if you’re a resilient, driven, and confident, developer who brings the determination to tackle one of the most complex and consequential challenges in the world. Specific qualifications we are looking for:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional software development experience, with expertise in Java or Python.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems.
- Experience building scalable SaaS platforms or enterprise applications.
- Ability to work in person from our Bellevue headquarters, and to participate in on-call rotations.
- Comfort working through ambiguity with urgency, patience, and good humor.
- A track record of building things on your own time, whether side projects, open-source contributions, or anything that shows you love to build and learn.
- Knowledge of supply chain systems or logistics is a plus, as is familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), databases (SQL or NoSQL), or real-time streaming platforms (Kafka, Flink).
As part of our commitment to People Powered Greatness, we invest in our team members with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits to support your health, financial future, and daily life. The package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, and commuter benefits. Total compensation may include a combination of a competitive base salary and equity. Your initial placement within our salary range will be based on your experience, qualifications.
