In This Role

You will support a business-critical cloud infrastructure service that enables customers to provision and manage storage resources at enterprise scale. The role will focus on an internal capacity-management initiative designed to improve how storage capacity is monitored, allocated, and optimized. You will build software and automation solutions, enhance existing systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and explore AI-assisted workflows that improve operational efficiency and service reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business-critical applications and specialized utility programs.
  • Build automation solutions that improve storage-capacity planning, allocation, monitoring, and optimization.
  • Develop new features and enhance existing systems using hands-on software engineering.
  • Gather and analyze requirements, document technical specifications, and translate business needs into scalable solutions.
  • Review enhancement requests and recommend appropriate technical approaches.
  • Prepare software specifications, implementation plans, test plans, and supporting technical documentation.
  • Write, modify, and unit-test application code while ensuring reliability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Troubleshoot software and service issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable resolutions.
  • Create deployment and migration packages for system testing, user acceptance testing, and production implementation.
  • Perform post-implementation validation and provide ongoing support for deployed solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to incorporate AI-assisted or intelligent automation into engineering and operational workflows.
  • Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Approximately 5–7 years of experience in software development, service engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated hands-on programming experience developing and maintaining production software.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle practices, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Experience building automation tools or engineering solutions that improve operational processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex software and systems issues and implement effective resolutions.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional technical and business stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of computer software, hardware, and cloud-based systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong development experience with C# and related technologies.
  • Experience building automation platforms, tools, or services—not solely dashboards or reporting solutions.
  • Exposure to capacity management, resource optimization, infrastructure planning, or large-scale cloud services.
  • Experience incorporating AI-assisted capabilities or intelligent workflows into engineering processes.
  • Familiarity with highly available, large-scale infrastructure supporting compute, storage, or networking services.
  • Previous experience working within a large enterprise technology or cloud-services organization.
  • Experience mentoring other engineers or providing technical guidance across projects.
