Who we are: Lynx delivers modular, open standards–based software that transforms how high-assurance, mission-critical edge systems are built, deployed, and maintained. Our secure edge computing solutions enable innovation and operational excellence in the world’s most demanding environments, from aerospace and defense to commercial and industrial systems. We partner across industries including automotive, medical, and critical infrastructure to deliver tailored solutions aligned with each customer’s mission and operational requirements. Our key products and services are:

  • MOSA.ic: LYNX MOSA.ic™ is a modular software framework and architecture purpose-built for mission-critical edge computing. Based on the Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA), it provides a flexible foundation for building secure, scalable, and certifiable edge systems.
  • LYNX MOSA.ic.AI: LYNX MOSA.ic.AI is a unified CPU and GPU software platform that enables deterministic, certifiable deployment of AI and advanced workloads in mission-critical edge systems. It brings control, performance, and lifecycle governance together, allowing AI to operate predictably within safety-critical environments without compromising certification or system integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Direct and mentor a cross-functional team of software engineers and contractors. You are responsible for career growth, performance management, and resource allocation.
  • Project Execution: Own the delivery lifecycle for OS features. You’ll manage timelines, risks, and dependencies, ensuring that "moving fast" never comes at the expense of "moving safely."
  • Stakeholder Requirements: Act as the primary technical interface with external customers and internal stakeholders to capture, analyze, and refine operational capabilities into structured, actionable systems and software requirements.
  • Regulatory & Airworthiness Compliance: Deep-dive into complex aerospace and safety-critical technical standards to translate rigorous certification requirements into clear, executable engineering actionable items.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a management role.
  • The ability to translate complex technical hurdles into clear project status updates for stakeholders.
  • Deep expertise in SCRUM/Agile. You know how to make Agile work in environments where "breaking things" isn't an option.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field preferred.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Highly desired additional experience:

  • Exposure to safety-critical development processes (DO-178C, ISO 26262).
  • Experience developing systems-level software, including virtualization, OS kernels, or hypervisors for x86/ARM.

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
