The Role
As a Solutions Architect aligned to a Sales Pod, you’ll work side-by-side with an Enterprise Sales Executive and Customer Success Manager to drive new business and grow strategic accounts. You’ll be responsible for crafting solution architectures, guiding customers through technical decision-making, and supporting long-term success through onboarding and optimization. This cross-functional role spans both pre-sales and post-sales activity, ensuring a unified customer experience from first interaction to long-term value realization. What You’ll Be Doing
- Serve as the technical lead across your assigned Sales Pod, partnering closely with an Enterprise Sales Executive and Customer Success Manager.
- Design scalable Layer 2 and Layer 3 network solutions tailored to enterprise cloud strategies and digital transformation initiatives.
- Lead technical discovery, solutions, and architecture design during the pre-sales process.
- Deliver product demos, workshops, and architecture sessions that align to business needs and technical goals. Support onboarding and expansion conversations to ensure long-term adoption and satisfaction.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with IT architects, engineers, and decision-makers at enterprise accounts.
- Maintain deep knowledge of Megaport’s platform, APIs, and ecosystem of cloud partners (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle, etc.).Contribute to documentation, playbooks, and technical enablement to elevate pod-level execution.
- Coordinate with internal specialists and the Global SA team to drive consistency and innovation across regions.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles (Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or equivalent).Proven success designing enterprise cloud and network architectures in collaboration with Sales and CS teams.
- Strong understanding of public cloud networking services such as AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, Google Interconnect, and Oracle FastConnect.
- Ability to lead technical conversations with IT teams across presales and onboarding cycles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills—comfortable guiding conversations from technical deep dives to executive briefings.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and API integrations is a plus.
- Deep understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 architectures, carrier networks, and interconnection strategies.
- Self-starter who thrives in a team-first, fast-paced, and remote-first environment.
