The Senior Manager, Community Engagement leads associate and customer engagement strategy, with a focus on store-based activations and associate and community experiences. Owns how community work shows up in stores and ensures experiences are scalable, engaging, and easy to execute. This role drives the planning, delivery, and measurement of high-profile programs such as Lowe's Community Impact Projects, large-scale partnership-driven projects that engage associates, uplift communities, and reinforce Lowe's brand.
A hands-on leader and cross-functional integrator, this individual partners closely with internal teams (Store Operations, CD&I, Communications, Supply Chain, HR) and external partners (nonprofits and vendors) to deliver projects that are inclusive, community-driven, and measurable.

What You Will Do
- Serve as the enterprise lead for community project planning and delivery, managing timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communications for assigned initiatives.
- Lead execution of signature community engagement programs, including Lowe's Community Impact Projects, seasonal activations (e.g., Veterans, Disaster prep, holiday), and strategic partnerships with store operations Supervises team of community engagement professionals who
- Define success metrics and KPIs for community impact campaigns, including awareness, engagement, sentiment, participation, and loyalty indicators
- Oversees field and store enablement, including project toolkits, resource guides, and volunteer coordination, ensuring strong alignment with Store Operations and Supply Chain.
- Partners closely with Marketing to incorporate community engagement metrics into customer sentiment and loyalty assessments, evaluating how community impact programs influence customer trust, affinity, and long-term loyalty to Lowe's
- Activates cross-functional workstreams to support large-scale impact events and giving campaigns, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and field capacity.
- Manages project-level storytelling and visibility, collaborating with Internal and External Communications to spotlight Lowe's local impact and associate involvement.
- Partners with PR, Marketing, and Internal Communications to establish clear, intentional, and measurable goals for both external (consumer) and internal (associate) audiences tied to community impact programs
- Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure community impact activations are supported by integrated storytelling, communications, and marketing strategies across owned, earned, and internal channels
- Uses insights and learnings to refine future programming, improve effectiveness, and strengthen alignment between community impact efforts and Lowe's broader brand and business objectives
- Measures, analyzes, and reports on program performance to assess whether strategic activations are achieving intended outcomes and driving meaningful business and brand impact
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
- 7+ years of experience in program execution, community engagement, volunteer management, or event planning.
- Proven experience leading large-scale initiatives across a complex, matrixed organization.
- Strong project management skills, including ability to manage timelines, logistics, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience working with nonprofit partners, civic stakeholders, and/or field-based teams.
- Ability to analyze data, build dashboards, and report program impact.
- 1+ years of leadership experience
Preferred Skills/Education
- Master's degree Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Experience in retail, supply chain, or field operations.
- Familiarity with employee engagement, inclusion, or community relations frameworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Smartsheet, or project tracking tools.
