  • Establish and enforce a comprehensive data governance and security framework for all people data, ensuring data quality, clear data definitions, and compliance with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA)

  • Design, build, and maintain a portfolio of best-in-class analytics products, from enterprise-wide dashboards in Visier and Tableau to custom analyses that solve critical business problems

  • Act as a key consultant and partner to business and P&C leaders, owning the stakeholder relationship to understand their needs, improve the user experience, and collaboratively find solutions

  • Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making by leading all user training, enablement, and support programs, ensuring users can effectively interpret and apply data insights

  • Proven, hands-on expertise across the analytics stack, including authoring complex SQL, building data models in Snowflake, designing production dashboards in Tableau and/or PowerBI, and managing data integration pipelines (ETL)

  • Deep experience with end-to-end Visier product ownership, including platform implementation, administration, governance, and advanced analysis/dashboard creation

  • Strong functional knowledge of HR data and processes, and familiarity with Workday data structures

  • Practical understanding of employee data governance, security models, and compliance protocols for managing PII and SPI (Sensitive Personal Information)

  • Excellent consulting and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to translate complex business needs into technical requirements and communicate data stories effectively

  • Strong project management and user enablement experience, with a track record of leading cross-functional data projects and successfully training users of all technical levels

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
