The Opportunity

As Superhuman evolves into an AI-native productivity platform, the role of brand and product storytelling has never been more critical. Our products are powerful, nuanced, and deeply integrated into how people work every day. Translating that complexity into clear, compelling, and human language is essential to driving understanding, trust, and adoption at scale.

As a Staff Brand Writer, you will operate at the intersection of product, brand, and strategy. You will shape how Superhuman shows up in the world—crafting narratives that bring our products to life while ensuring every word reflects clarity, intention, and craft. From high-impact campaigns to in-product messaging, your work will help define how users experience and understand AI-powered productivity.

This is a highly cross-functional and high-impact role. You will partner closely with Product, Marketing, Design, and Research to turn complex systems into stories that resonate. You will also play a key role in elevating the overall standard of writing across the organization, helping teams move faster while maintaining a high bar for quality and consistency.

In this role, you will:

  • Own and deliver high-impact brand and product writing across campaigns, launches, and key user touchpoints.

  • Translate complex product features and AI capabilities into clear, compelling, and natural language without sacrificing accuracy.

  • Help shape and evolve the creative and content strategy across projects, contributing to how we tell cohesive product stories at scale.

  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, and Research to develop aligned, user-centered narratives.

  • Drive campaign development alongside designers and marketers, ensuring messaging is product-first, differentiated, and effective.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing speed and quality in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Advocate for the user by using insights, data, and empathy to inform content decisions and improve the overall experience.

  • Raise the bar for writing craft across the organization, pushing for clarity, precision, and excellence in every detail.

  • Mentor and support other writers, providing feedback and guidance to strengthen the team’s overall output.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in brand, product, or content writing, with a strong portfolio demonstrating clear, compelling product storytelling across surfaces.

  • Proven ability to synthesize complex product functionality into language that is simple, intuitive, and engaging.

  • Experience contributing to or leading creative and content strategy across campaigns or product ecosystems.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence partners and align diverse stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in fast-moving environments.

  • High level of craft and attention to detail, with a deep commitment to clarity, consistency, and quality.

  • Experience working on AI-native or highly technical products is a strong plus.

Compensation and Benefits

Superhuman offers all team members competitive pay along with a benefits package encompassing the following and more:

  • Excellent health care (including a wide range of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and fertility benefits)

  • 401(k) and RRSP matching

  • Paid parental leave

  • 20 days of paid time off per year, 12 days of paid holidays per year, two floating holidays per year, and flexible sick time

  • Generous stipends (including those for caregiving, pet care, wellness, your home office, and more)

  • Annual professional development budget and opportunities

Superhuman takes a market-based approach to compensation, so base pay may vary by location. Our US locations are categorized into two compensation zones based on proximity to our hub locations.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
