T-Mobile is synonymous with innovation–and you could be part of the team that disrupted an entire industry! We reinvented customer service, brought real 5G to the nation, and now we’re shaping the future of technology in wireless and beyond. Our work is as exciting as it is rewarding, so consider the career opportunity below as your invitation to grow with us, make big things happen with us, above all, #BEYOU with us. Together, we won’t stop!

Get hands-on experience, training—and a leg up on a bright future.

T-Mobile didn’t become a leader by following the playbook. We got here by breaking it. We’re a disruptor that now plays on a higher tier, and we’re still raising the bar for millions of customers nationwide. If you want to work somewhere that sets the standard instead of matching it, this is your place.
This is an 11-week paid learning experience where you’ll do real work, not busywork. You’ll build relationships with other interns and leaders across the company, and you’ll be paired with mentors who will challenge you to grow skills that matter. We’ll give you hands-on projects with real stakes, and we expect your creativity and sharp ideas to make an immediate impact. You’ll work alongside T-Mobile employees who have your back and who still believe the best ideas can come from anyone.

What It's Like

You’ll join a Learning & Development team that is small enough for you to be seen and big enough for your work to matter. The pace is fast and the feedback is real. A typical week mixes design working sessions, check-ins with your mentor, conversations with subject matter experts, and time to build, test, and refine your own work. You’ll share progress often, ask questions early, and finish the summer with something you can point to.

What You'll Do

You’ll own a real learning project from needs analysis through evaluation, designing training that helps Customer Care teams do their jobs better for millions of customers. You’ll turn complex business needs into clear, engaging learning experiences, and measure whether they work. Your ideas will help T-Mobile keep raising the bar on how we train and support our people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify learning needs and define clear instructional objectives.
  • Design and develop learner guides, facilitator guides, job aids, and handouts that make complex content easy to apply.
  • Build engaging training content using content authoring tools and appropriate delivery methods.
  • Create assessments and evaluation tools, and analyze feedback and data to recommend improvements.
  • Pilot new training and refine it based on learner and facilitator input.
  • Review and update existing training materials to keep them accurate, relevant, and effective.
  • Manage project timelines and deliver regular status updates to your mentor and team.
  • Present your project, results, and recommendations to leaders at the end of the internship.

What It Takes

  • You’re curious, you challenge assumptions, and you move with urgency. You communicate clearly, listen well, and can juggle priorities without losing quality.
  • You’re comfortable learning new tools quickly and turning feedback into better work.
  • Interest in learning design, curriculum development, and employee development
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Comfort with data and using it to evaluate what works
  • Familiarity with the ADDIE model, content authoring tools (such as Articulate, Adobe Captivate), or learning management systems is a plus, not required
  • Prior experience in instructional design, training, or learning projects (internships, coursework, or work experience) is a plus

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future
  • Must have one or more course(s) remaining in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program post internship

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
