Role Overview: The Product Manager for Chameleon is responsible for ensuring the platform remains stable, valuable, and commercially viable. This role partners closely with Engineering, Support, Sales, and cross‑functional stakeholders to manage and prioritize the backlog, deliver the highest‑value work, and ensure customer and business needs are balanced through disciplined product decision‑making. This role is ideal for a Product Manager who thrives in optimization, operational excellence, and ROI‑focused product management, rather than greenfield development.
Key Responsibilities- Product Ownership & Backlog Management
Own and manage the product backlog for Chameleon, ensuring it is well‑groomed, clearly prioritized, and aligned to business value
Evaluate and prioritize work based on customer impact, revenue opportunity, retention risk, operational efficiency, and technical health
Make informed tradeoffs to ensure the team is consistently working on the highest‑value initiatives
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Serve as the primary product point of contact for Engineering, Support, Sales, and other stakeholders
Partner with Support to understand customer issues, identify patterns, and distinguish defects from feature or workflow gaps
Partner with Sales and Commercial teams to assess revenue opportunities, customer impact, and market needs
Translate stakeholder input into clear, actionable product requirements
- Delivery & Execution
Ensure high‑value product work is delivered successfully and predictably
Write clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and user stories that enable efficient engineering execution
Identify and remove blockers that impede delivery, collaborating proactively across teams
Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to continuously improve team effectiveness
- Product Strategy & Commercial Responsibility
Apply a disciplined, ROI‑driven approach to product investment for a legacy platform
Balance maintenance, enhancements, and new opportunities to support customer retention, revenue continuity, and operational viability
Contribute to roadmap planning and lifecycle decisions, ensuring transparency and alignment with company strategy
- Customer & Business Outcomes
Ensure Chameleon continues to deliver a reliable, high‑quality customer experience
Monitor product performance, customer feedback, and operational metrics
Advocate for improvements that meaningfully reduce friction, improve usability, or unlock commercial value
- Qualifications & Experience
6+ years of Product Management experience
Experience managing established or legacy platforms preferred
Strong backlog prioritization and decision‑making skills
Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with Engineering, Support, and Commercial teams
Comfort making tradeoffs in constrained environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills
Experience in SaaS, healthcare, veterinary, or regulated environments a plus
