The Services area within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution. Our Advisors & Consulting Services team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard's rich data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to provide clients with powerful strategic insights and recommendations. Our teams work with a diverse global customer base across industries, from banking and payments to retail and restaurants.
The Advisors & Consulting Services group has five specializations: Strategy & Transformation, Performance Analytics, Business Experimentation, Marketing, and Program Management. Our Program Management consultants lead clients through business transformations by implementing strategically important Mastercard assets and services to bring value and drive growth. They serve as the Center of Engagement across all stakeholders within Mastercard and the client's organization.

Roles and Responsibilities
You will take full accountability for delivery outcomes, coordinating cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and business functions. While prior software delivery experience informs effective execution, the role requires balanced leadership across scope, stakeholders, risk, and value realization. You will manage multiple projects within a portfolio, providing efficient and effective coordination of a complex range of activities by clearly defining project team and stakeholder roles and responsibilities that are aligned with the delivery of the expected benefits. You will ensure effective identification of risks and pro-active solutioning to mitigate risks and impact on timelines.
Success in this role depends on the ability to drive client outcomes through strong delivery leadership while building, coaching, and empowering high-performing teams.
Client Impact
Own end-to-end delivery outcomes across multiple large, complex, high-value initiatives, ensuring alignment between client objectives, delivery scope, timelines, and realized benefits
Apply proven project, change, and agile delivery methodologies to drive measurable client value, making informed trade-offs between scope, time, cost, quality, and risk.
Leverage prior experience working with software delivery teams to enhance planning accuracy, risk identification, and issue resolution, while maintaining focus on overall program outcomes.
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate delivery risks and dependencies, escalating with clear analysis, options, and recommendations when required.
Build and sustain trusted relationships with client managers and delivery leaders, acting as a reliable partner throughout the engagement lifecycle.
Team Collaboration & Culture
Develop clear, well-structured business recommendations and deliver effective client presentations that synthesize complex delivery information into actionable insights.
Plan, organize, and structure both personal work and that of junior team members to address client challenges efficiently and with high quality.
Lead and facilitate internal and client meetings, foster alignment and collaboration across cross-functional teams including business, product, technology, and operations.
Grow from coaching to enabling ownership of day-to-day delivery activities by junior consultants, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship to support their professional development.
Contribute to the firm's intellectual capital, delivery standards, and solution development efforts, acting as a strong brand ambassador for Mastercard Services.
Promote a collaborative, inclusive team culture that values accountability, continuous improvement, and shared success across engagements.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Undergraduate degree
Ability to communicate effectively in English and the local office language (if applicable)
Exposure to financial institutions or consultancy firms
+5 years of work experience leading complex projects and programs, with a strong track record of managing cross-functional teams in technology, software development, and other business domains.
Expertise with agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban
Ability to oversee complex projects involving cross-functional teams
Experience managing clients and stakeholders
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to perform multiple tasks with multiple clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Project
Eligibility to work in the country where you are applying, as well as apply for travel visas as required by travel needs
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing and implementing solutions and measuring impact on clients' business
Experience coaching, mentoring, or overseeing the work of junior consultants or delivery team members.
A recognized professional accreditation, such as Project Management Professional (PMP)
Knowledge of project management tools
Exposure to payments, financial services, retail banking, or merchant environments
MBA or master's degree with relevant specialization
