Key Responsibilities
- Define end-to-end solution architectures for enterprise applications covering application, integration, data, security, and infrastructure layers.
- Partner with business stakeholders to capture functional and non-functional requirements and translate them into reference architectures and target-state designs.
- Lead architecture review boards, evaluating proposed designs against enterprise standards, security policies, and long-term roadmap considerations.
- Design integration strategies across SaaS, on-premise, and hybrid landscapes, leveraging API gateways, event streaming, and managed integration platforms.
- Establish architecture principles, technology selection guidelines, and reusable patterns for use across multiple delivery teams.
- Collaborate with security architects to embed identity, data protection, and compliance controls into solution designs from the outset.
- Produce high-quality architecture artifacts including context diagrams, component models, sequence diagrams, and decision records.
- Guide cloud migration, modernization, and re-platforming initiatives with a focus on cost, performance, and resilience.
- Support proof-of-concept development to validate critical architectural choices before broader adoption.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams during solution delivery.
- Track emerging technologies and recommend strategic investments that align with business priorities.
- Drive standardization across application portfolios to reduce technical debt and operational complexity.
- Engage with vendors and platform partners to evaluate roadmap fit and negotiate technical commitments.
- Ensure that solutions meet regulatory, audit, and data governance requirements applicable to the business.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Eight or more years of experience in software engineering or solution architecture roles.
- Demonstrated experience architecting enterprise applications across at least two major cloud platforms.
- Strong expertise in integration patterns, API design, and event-driven architectures.
- Deep familiarity with at least one major enterprise platform such as SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, ServiceNow, or Workday.
- Working knowledge of identity, security, and data governance frameworks at enterprise scale.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience producing formal architecture artifacts and presenting them to senior leadership.
- Track record of leading architecture reviews and influencing engineering direction across teams.
- Strong understanding of cost optimization, scalability, and resilience trade-offs.
- TOGAF, AWS, Azure, or GCP architecture certifications.
- Experience with large-scale ERP, CRM, or HCM transformation programs.
- Exposure to regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, or life sciences.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture tooling such as LeanIX, Ardoq, or Sparx EA.
- Experience driving cloud governance, FinOps, and cost transparency initiatives.
