Job Summary
The Vice President of Marketing will lead the enterprise marketing strategy and commercialization planning across our growing ophthalmic portfolio. As a key member of the Commercial Leadership Team, this executive will drive brand performance, launch excellence, and market expansion to accelerate revenue growth.
Operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, this leader will build and scale a high-performing marketing organization. The successful candidate will design innovative omnichannel engagement strategies, shape differentiated brand positioning, and leverage data-driven analytics to maximize adoption of our therapies across HCP and consumer audiences.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Portfolio Management
- Lead enterprise brand strategy, end-to-end lifecycle management, and launch readiness across the company’s product portfolio.
- Drive strategic positioning, pricing, and market expansion initiatives to maximize long-term growth and commercial performance.
- Partner with Executive Leadership, Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and other critical functions to ensure strategic alignment and commercialization success.
Commercial Execution & Analytics
- Develop and execute integrated omnichannel marketing strategies across digital, field, and media platforms to accelerate brand awareness and adoption.
- Establish clear forecasting models, investment/resource allocation strategies, and KPIs to optimize ROI and overall business impact.
- Utilize market research, competitive intelligence, prescription data, and CRM analytics (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau) to inform agile decision-making.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with KOLs, industry partners, and external stakeholders, leading medical education and congress strategies.
Team Building & Organizational Excellence
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and executional excellence.
- Direct agency and vendor partnerships to ensure the delivery of high-quality, differentiated promotional campaigns and customer-facing materials.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with a strong preference for direct experience in ophthalmic pharmaceuticals/eye care.
- Proven track record of successful brand leadership, go-to-market strategy, product launches, and scaling brands through high-growth commercialization phases.
- Deep understanding of omnichannel marketing, customer engagement, and ROI-driven resource allocation.
- Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and commercial analytics platforms.
